Thinking of making fanart of liam and his siblings all alive and grown (noel noelín adam eve) and they’re all just babying Liam and all smiling and laughing I think that would fuck me up. It’s gonna fuck me up too because Adam is basically an older Liam and Eve is girlnoel. All the noels and liams 😭

Hiya pink! Can’t wait for the finale. I have a question. What made you choose Lancashire (or was it Lancaster) for that murder setting? And i am sure it’s the same setting as the adam and eve incident and where noel did his training with his da if I’m not wrong. Did the place have something to do with noel and liam in real life?

No it doesn’t have anything to do with Noel and Liam irl at all! The closest real-world Oasis connection to that is that Noel almost roadied for the Inspiral Carpets at the Sugarhouse (a student club in Lancaster), but even that didn’t really happen.

Although for a psywb headcanon: Noel [Noelín] made the band cancel the gig there on purpose because the idea of going anywhere near Lancs made him feel restless

For a bit of quick geography, Lancashire is the county, whereas Lancaster is the historic city inside it. (The Forest of) Bowland is this massive area just a short drive east from Lancaster city, and this whole Lancashire region is only about a 1 – 1.5 hour drive north from Manchester, which made it the perfect distance for… hiding a body in the 70s/80s (although obviously no one’s ever done this. MAYBE. HOPEFULLY).

Bowland (near The Trough) — the river here is where I imagined little Noel washed his hands after the rabbit training. The roadside is not in this picture but there is one and you can still drive by.

Now to answer your questions… my reason was that 1, it was sort of a personal choice as I used to go here for uni and I was big into exploring around since it is a nature-oriented place — so it’s kind of like a tribute! And 2, THE FOLK HORROR! Pendle Hill, which I’m guessing you’ve seen Noel mention this as the area where Adam & Eve were buried, is a hill in the Bowland area and is incredibly famous for the 1612 Pendle Witch Trials, where 10 people were hunted down and executed by hanging. I just felt like wrapping this fic’s hereditary trauma and that doomed archetype into a landscape that already feels cursed and haunted. (Ahh and I’ve also seen some weird creepy stuff there too but that’s a different topic 😂)
