🌿 Gratitude Journal – World PT Day Reflection
Today, I am grateful that I got to celebrate World PT Day beyond the walls of my own workplace. Although our own PT Day left me a little frustrated, God opened the door for me to join my friends from another hospital in their celebration.
They had a fun run, and I could really sense the camaraderie and joy among PTs. There was laughter, teamwork, and a genuine spirit of community. It reminded me of why I chose this profession in the first place—not just to work, but to be part of a movement that helps people live better, healthier lives.
I realized that my profession is bigger than my current situation. Even if my workplace feels limiting at times, the larger PT community is thriving, creative, and full of passion. I don’t need to let negativity define my experience of this calling.
Today, I choose to focus on the good I witnessed—the unity of colleagues, the celebration of health, the gift of being able to move and run, and the joy of being part of something meaningful.
I will carry this with me as a reminder: even if leadership and culture in one place feel heavy, I can always seek light, growth, and connection elsewhere. And one day, I hope to be the kind of leader who fosters this same spirit of encouragement and community.
