Karibibite is a rare mineral that can be found in granite pegmatites in localities in, additionally, Japan, Morocco, Brazil, and Kazakhstan. Karibibite is paramagnetic, magnetic in the presence of externally applied magnetic fields. It can also fluoresce yellow under short-wave ultraviolet light.
