A commission in progress. I just recently got a commission for a Del Griffith painting and I am definitely excited about that. Any of you following me long enough has seen all my different PTNA related paintings. I really am starting to love this one. It's from an awesome scene after Neil Page had left Del out in the cold outside the hotel room after some drama, particularly his rental car being burn to a crisp.
Neil quickly got a grip and invited Del into the room, deciding to be compassionate and not let this guy freeze to death.
But this scene was really where they seemed to start bonding , drinking their mini liquor bottles and eating "potato chips" as Del inadvertently leaves a clue as to what's going on with his wife, who he carries a picture of all over the country selling shower curtain rings.
I'm using potato chips because of the funny line"potato chips, they're everywhere!!" Although in the scene there are clearly Doritos bags everywhere.
If you have not seen this movie and also didn't know it was a John Huges (Breakfast Club) movie then go and treat yourself to one of the finest movies ever made.
I mean, you get to see Steve Martin and John Candy do their usual "and in this case some of the best" comedy and all, But you can really see them stretch there serious legs as well, particularly John Candy who in my opinion does more than Oscar worthy acting in this movie.
He jumps right off the screen making you wish he In some way could break the forth wall and become a real friend of yours. If you have Netflix, it is on right now. I will see if it's cool for me to make prints of this commission and either way will show you the finished painting real soon. I'm titling it "To The Women!".
