Yesterday the old dog, Bear, lost his ability to walk or pee. Last night he would try to get up and when he couldn't he would wine and scream.

@mal-le-able you ended up giving me my solution. I couldn't get the sensor to line up again so I just bypassed that one. It's probably ok since the basement just leads to the foyer, which has it's own sensor. I wish I had thought of that in the first place! Of course the basement also leads to our circuit breaker box thing, so anyone who broke in there could cut the power and maybe the alarm, but whatever.
