As I turn off the Zoom hangout with the rest of the band and our fans, I sink into my chair defeated whereas before the hangout I was on top of the world. Yes, it had been a few years since the release of Misadventures and I didn't need to be reminded that Pierce The Veil hadn't released anything new, fans were understanding but only for so long. Luckily Tony and Jaime covered some of the awkward questions.
Writing a song let alone a whole album was hard work, you had to be in the right mood and mindset to create something, or at least have some inspiration to use as a jumping-off point. I was suffering from writer's block, add to that the stress of having your younger brother leave the band, and then a pandemic sweeping the world turning everything to shit.
It was easy to ignore hurtful comments, but that didn't mean I didn't see any of the comments stating how tired I looked and how I was starting to show my age so the fans shouldn't expect any new music anytime soon. Tony and Jaime could only help me out so much before it became obvious the comments were getting to me.
Behind me, the door to my office/studio opens and y/n's calming voice fills the room, 'hey, I made some iced tea and thought you'd like a glass after the hangout.'
I take the drink from them and they wrap their arms around me from behind, resting their chin on top of my head, 'what are we going to do y/n?' I ask, knowing y/n will give me an honest answer.
y/n sighs, 'they waited for Misadventures they will wait for what comes next Vic. It would be easy to throw an incomplete album out but that's not your guys style. Just know that no one around you is rushing you, take your time and when inspiration strikes you'll be writing nonstop.'
That's what I loved about y/n, no pressure, an honest opinion and support.
'What would I do without you y/n?'
I feel y/n smiling behind me, 'fall apart Vic. Now I'm going to go and make dinner and you're going to talk to Jaime and Tony.'
I was a little sad when y/n unwrapped themselves from around me, but they more than made up for it by leaning around and pecked me on the cheek before leaving the room. They were my rock and I wouldn't be anywhere without them, the next album was going to be amazing.
San Diego
Title: San Diego Chapter: One-Shot Pairing: Tony/OC Rating: T Fic Summary: She ran away from San Diego two years ago and now she’s struggling with the decision about whether to go back or not. Author’s Notes: “San Diego” is one of my most favorite tracks off Blink 182′s “California” and it’s impossible for me to listen to it and not think of the PTV boys.
Venus laid awake in bed like every night. Every time she closed her eyes, all she could see was his brown eyes and that infectious smile of his. She was haunted of memories of San Diego and what it held. She sighed and got up, padding to the back door. She sat on the cool sand and watched the waves roll in, the sound calming her.
“What are you doing out here?” a voice asked.
“Go back to bed, ginger”, she told him.
Alan sat down next to her and rubbed his eyes. “Can’t sleep again?” he asked her.
“I can’t stop thinking about him….them”, she said.
It’d been two years, but she still missed them.

Today was valentine's day, a day of romance across the whole world, where couples or two people who were in love showed their affections for one another. y/n and I had been together for three years, but we weren't your typical couple because we didn't care for all that romantic crap and cheese. We preferred spending the day in each other's company, just relaxing or even skating because it was our shared passion.
I was scheduled to be in the studio today, and y/n said she'd swing by later so we could grab lunch together. Little did y/n know I had something special planned, which was romantic and full-on cheese.
'I don't understand yours and y/n's relationship,' Alex Gaskarth states, sitting next to me in the studio since he'd dropped by to surprise us.
I turn to face him, 'what do you mean?'
'You don't do romantic gestures or gifts, yet y/n loves romantic comedies and we all know you're a softie at heart,' he replies.
I snort and pull the ring box out of my trousers and slide it across the desk between us, 'how's this Gaskarth?'
Alex glances down at the small box and gasps, 'Is that what I think it is? Are you going to propose to y/n?'
I nod and take the ring box back, keeping it safe until y/n gets here, 'sure am. I love them and want to spend the rest of my life with them.'
Alex clears his throat and shouts loudly, 'Alex to everyone, looks like Tony is finally going to pop the big question to y/n.'
I shake my head, feeling embarrassed that everyone knew my business.
'How are you going to do it?' Jaime shouts back, being y/n's older brother meant I had to do something that would also impress him.
I chew the inside of my mouth, 'I guess I'm just going to ask her, no fuss since she doesn't like fuss,' I reply.
'Real romantic,' Jaime jokes back, coming around the corner.
Alex shakes his head and pouts, 'you have to have something prepared Tony, you can't just pop the question like it means nothing.'
I shrug my shoulders, 'I don't know what to tell you, Alex, sometimes the simple things are the best.'
~Time Skip~
'y/n's here Tony,' Jaime declares, walking his sister into the studio followed by Vic and our producer. Of course, he'd bring an audience for this, because Alex wasn't enough.
'Do you know why they are acting like complete idiots?' y/n questions, shuffling away from her brother.
I laugh, 'that's how they always are y/n. Now I have something for you.'
y/n tilts her head to the side, 'I told you not to get me anything, Tony.'
I walk towards her, 'and I'm smart enough to know that meant to get you something.'
y/n chuckles, 'you know me too well Tony.'
I reach back and pull out the small black box and get down on one knee, 'I love you y/n, will you marry me?'
y/n gasps, 'of course I will.'
I slide the ring on her finger and kiss my new fiancée, while everyone whoops and cheers around us. y/n admires the ring and I knew this was the perfect way to propose, surrounded by our family and friends.
'Someone get Alex a tissue he's going to cry,' y/n giggles and Alex brushes her comment off.
'Congratulations guys, Tony you better treat my sister well,' Jaime slaps me on the back, and I gulp knowing he was serious. But I had no intention of ever treating y/n bad again, I'd learnt my lesson the hard way.
y/n links her fingers through mine and squeezes my hand, 'I love you, Tony Perry.'
I smile back, 'this is way better than those romantic comedies y/n.'
'One hundred times better,' she replies.

Y/N
It was another beautiful morning in San Diego. The morning was always your favourite time of day because there were no crowds. Only the locals were out right now walking, running or heading to work. You'd moved here two years ago and considered yourself a local and everyone had kind of accepted you.
You'd always loved animals, especially dogs. Until you could find a job that paid well you helped out locals by walking dogs morning and evening and had quite a following. So today you were walking three dogs which you considered a light morning when usually you'd walk five or six of all various breeds and sizes.
There was Corey the Dalmatian, Kyle the Bulldog, and the rowdy Harry who was a golden retriever who liked to play up. You had Corey and Kyle's leashes in one hand and Harry in the other because you never knew what he was going to do.
Just then a cyclist comes by really fast making you jump out of the way. You manage to hold onto Corey and Kyle, but in a split second Harry's leash slips from your hand and he dashes across the park.
'Oh shit,' you curse, 'Harry get back here!' you shout, running after the energetic dog.
There was a guy walking through the park and Harry ran up to him barking playfully, dancing around his feet until he stumbled and fell onto the grass. Harry starts jumping on the poor guy and you can't stand back and watch because it was your fault.
'Harry, get off him right now!' you shout sternly, stopping in front of the scene.
Harry ignores you and continues playing around. Luckily the guy didn't seem angry, instead, he played back with Harry showering him with attention.
'Oh my god I'm so sorry, a cyclist came at me and I let go of his leash,' you speak quite flustered.
'No problem,' he replies laughing and gets up from the grass, keeping a hold of Harry.
Your eyes widen realising who Harry had tackled, it was Jaime Preciado from Pierce The Veil. You saw him from time to time on your walks, more so over the past couple of weeks but never dared to approach him.
'You're that dog-walking chic, shit, I'm Jaime by the way. I see you walking quite often.'
He extends his free hand which you shake and smile, 'You can call me y/n. I'm so sorry about Harry, he loves attention.'
Jaime chuckles nervously, 'This is going to sound dumb but I've been looking for an excuse to talk to you. I see you when I'm on the way to the studio to record.'
I shake my head, 'I wouldn't want to get in the way of your band, Jaime. Maybe Harry here knows something we don't.'
On cue, Harry barks and Jaime rubs his head, 'Thank you, Harry. Would you maybe like to get a drink sometime y/n?'
You blush and bite your lip, 'I would like that a lot, Jaime. Do you want my number?'
He nods, 'That would be great, here's my phone.'
He hands you his phone and you type your number in and next to your name you put a puppy emoji for laughs.
'Well, I'll be waiting for your call Jaime. But I really should get these guys home.'
'Here's your dog back y/n. And I will message you before someone else does,' he replies, handing Harry back to you.
You watch Jaime walk off in the opposite direction, so you quickly leave the park and continue your walk, giving Harry a treat for bagging you a date with a cute guy.
~NIGHT~
You are sitting in front of the TV in a pair of sweats and a loose tank relaxing when your phone vibrates on the arm of the sofa. You pick it up and squeal seeing a message from Jaime, just like he promised.
JAIME: Hello dog girl I told you I'd get in touch. How about drinks tomorrow night at 8
Y/N: Hello band guy I would love to get drinks. I'll send you my address
JAIME: See you tomorrow night y/n
Okay now, your evening was complete. Maybe you'd continue dog walking if it got you this kind of attention.
