Save the buffer zone around Chaco Canyon!

About three years ago, the Biden administration created the ten-mile buffer zone around Chaco Canyon National Historical Park that prevents oil, gas, and mining projects on public lands within that area.
The protections created by the Biden administration were set to last 20 years.
The Dept. of the Interior wants to remove the buffer, which would open the land to oil, gas and mining projects.
Critics argue a 14-day public comment period is not enough time to weigh in. The Trump administration did not consult with any of the Tribes or give enough time to comment!

Comment now that you support the 'No Action Alternative' ie not removing the 10 mile buffer zone.
As an archaeologist, I can assure you that the site extends well beyond the 10mile zone with miles of ancient roads. Even the current buffer zone still causes localized seismic disturbances which are destroying the great houses and kivas of Chaco Canyon. If this buffer is removed, Chaco is in even more danger.
