Puck grinned. “Guess I’ll have to get used to not being trusted, then.” He already was used to it, of course. He rather prided himself on it, to be honest.He heaved an exaggerated sigh. “Whatever shall I do?”

    “Maybe the reason lies because sometimes your actions are not of everyone   likeness. So far you have done nothing to me or against me. For that you have my sympathy.”

“You are doing a spectacular job of proving that.” The Beast jibes with an audible scoff, seeming to not believe that in the slightest. But that is followed by a careless shrug of his shoulders. “I will not force you to eat. But do not come to me whining when you realize you have made a mistake.”

The Guardian’s expression remained serene at the other’s reaction, and he shrugged in response. That sort of mindset didn’t always appeal to people - or at least not right away. And it didn’t really work to try and push people the way you wanted them to go, either; life was about finding answers like that - best to let that happen at one’s own pace. It took him a few thousand years to get there, after all.
