so im watching wormwood on netflix - docudrama about mk-ultra and the cover up of dr. frank olson’s death/suicide/murder. i’m only 2 and a half eps in but i highly recommend it! incredibly interesting, horrifying and accurate in my opinion. trigger warnings so far: drugs (lsd) and suicide.

i think one of the things that pisses me off about anime series is the constant replaying of scenes like, yes i get it i JUST watched that episode i REMEMBER that this was an important interaction please just move forward with the story? like not all anime does it and i suppose it’s more of a thing if episodes are only released weekly so as to catch ppl up with it and remind them of things they may have missed, but when half of each episode is going back over what happened in previous episodes it gets... Tiring.

(i.e. if you are in a straight relationship and your partner comes out as a trans woman and you want to stay with her because you love her no matter what, maybe don’t refer to yourself as straight anymore? if you are in a lesbian relationship and your partner comes out as a trans man maybe don’t refer to yourself as a lesbian any more? i could go on……..)

ok seeing as i’ve had some reflection time now........ as much as i loved stra/nger thin/gs 2 there were a lot more hamfisted/wtf moments than just the lace-front wig of season 1.

such as: - eleven being jealous seeing mike and max hanging out? wtf? why is she jealous? is jealousy of other girls something that is innate in 12 year olds? was she taught to be jealous while she was raised in a facility teaching her to harness her telekinetic power? was she jealous of kali as a little kid and thus is jealous of all girls? instead of her being jealous maybe one of the teachers saw her and recognised her or something and she had to split before she could say hi to mike? wtf? hated it. - the snowball/everyone kiss. they’re fuckin 12/13 guys like. wtf? i hated this part so much i yelled. like ok i get there has to be a corny climax of the Kids All Hanging Out and Being Kids or whatever but have them at the fucking ARCADE or SOMETHING. and have like max and eleven playing a two person game together or idfk eleven trying video games and sucking and max giving her pointers. or like. jesus. MAYBE a kiss on the cheek between the kids. the kiss last season was unnecessary enough without it happening AGAIN this season PLUS ANOTHER with lucas and max (which by the way sadie sink said she was stressed out by having to do and one of the directors then said that after he saw how freaked out she was he of course made her do it - or words to that effect FUCKING YIKES ANYONE?) wtf? hated it. - the kali storyline. so fucking. hamfisted. like i get it. i get why they did it but they could have done so much fucking better. like maybe hinting at kali earlier on last season? or idk ANYTHING. but the whole “Eleven Leaves Town And Goes To Her Mum Then Leaves Her Mum And Goes To Her Sister Then Leaves Her Sister And Comes Back To Town” was incredibly clunky and poorly written. i liked kali a LOT but why not do better by her and her story? have her go with eleven back to help her friends? and then maybe hopper could help her find her family too seeing as he has all those files? idfk ANYTHING. hamfisted. hated it. - the jonathan x nancy storyline. hamfisted. wtf. hated it. also that creepy new yorker who they visited who was like “aheuheheuheuh I Know You Will Have Sex heuhuhuheeuh It Is Obvious” like. Ew. fuck off creep? jonathan is a fucking creepy stalker creep. nancy is a fucking asshole. like. they deserve each other but i Do Not Like Storylines Where The Creepy Stalker Gets The Girl He’s Being Creepy And Stalkerish To? like dgmw jonathan is a great brother to will and whatever but he’s a fucking creep.

MM! like i can understand it for ppl who are watching weekly but when it's in the middle of an exciting scene it just interrupts the flow of action or the storytelling and im like YES WE KNOW BAKUGO IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE BULLY THAT MIDORIYA LOOKS UP TO FOR SOME UNKNOWN FUCKING REASON GET ON WITH IT lskdfjjlfjsks idk maybe it's because they need to pad the eps out to 25 mins but don't have enough $$$ for that so they have to reuse a bunch of scenes or something

for me... a dog AND cat person (who is deathly allergic to cats and has never owned one and lives in a country where they reek havoc on the native wildlife), i can understand people who like cats but not dogs, but the other way around lmfao, like in my experience from talking to people who don’t like dogs, they have 9 times out of 10 had a bad experience with a dog, been bitten, been knocked over, been lunged at or had a dog go apeshit at them through a fence. people who dislike cats usually have no Actual foundation for it. like, they just don’t like the look of them or something.... Maybe they got bitten or scratched but like, you were probably fucking annoying that cat. they are so small and would for the most part rather get away from you than attack... *shrug emoji* this is all just onions and i understand if you disagree but i will ALWAYS side eye someone who is like “I HATE CATS” more than i will someone who says the same about dogs.

like i know i'll probly get shit for that post but idgaf certain dog breeds make me nervous and uncomfortable because you know what? a lot of their owners tend to be fucking shit. and it's not just big dogs either they just make me MORE nervous. but for example i do no trust miniature poodles at all either (been bit by one for no obvious reason, thanks!) so yeah my opinions on dog breeds have for the most part been shaped by experience of shit owners doing a shit job with their dogs!!!
