i agree, to be honest.. as important as it is to be informed, i dont think the average human is emotionally equipped with constantly drinking bad news 24 hours on a daily basis, and that only became the case with the internet connecting the world much easier, for better or for worse. i just dont think shouldering the world’s faults and problems every second of every day is particularly healthy for the mind, especially when majority of it is things out of your control

w judaism especially i dont think its something u CAN learn alone. being physically present in the community and having those discussions in person is so core to that understanding. thats why i never know what to say when ppl online ask me where they should start looking into conversion, because if they think its something that can even partly be done online they have fundamentally misunderstood the entire process and the religion they are entering

thank you so much for your thoughtful reply fozzie! this was actually something i was going to elaborate further and was thinking when i mentioned my mum’s links to judaism - her father’s grandparents were jewish, living in germany (pretty sure but i’m hazy on exacts) and their surname was fischer, but they fled germany to britain and changed the spelling to fisher (mum’s maiden name) - but other than that very tenuous link there isn’t much basis for me. and judaism is such a community based religion (out of the two i’m interested in/feel a connection with upon my very limited understanding). so i completely agree w you and appreciate your input! i guess the first step in learning more would be meeting with a rabbi? although, even saying that i just feel extremely unworthy and undeserving of someone’s time in that way - because i feel so incredibly ignorant... but i’ll definitely think on it more and do some more reading (of what i can access) and see what i can come up with... i do wish i had better comprehension though as even simple things like wikipedia articles leave me stumped sometimes (that’s generally though - not just when reading about religion - i need to up my reading game and get those skills back i used to be so much better when i was younger...)

thank you ;u; this means a lot. i think a lot of ppl take how complex it is for granted because they grew up in a religion? so it’s something they’ve always known, and then once you have an understanding it’s easier to understand other religions maybe? whereas i have practically nothing to base anything on so when i read stuff and it’s like “so and so did this” i’m like WHOM? DID WHAT? idk... anyway i’m going to persist!

I’m glad it all worked out in the end at the very least, although im sorry the build up was as stressful as it was.

omg thanks ev, and no worries it was always going to be that way (the build up being stressful) im just really thankful there's no fallout, there might be a few snide remarks but nothing super damaging. im really indebted to my all my friends who helped me out with this first hand and then all my other friends who even sent me good vibes ;u; it obviously all helped UvU

yyYYYYYESSS jamie i am loving it so much, i have been meaning to watch it for A WHILE but never got around to it - have to be in the Mood to watch anime because of needing to Read All The Subs but ren was watching it and seeing him post about it was the final push i needed. i'm up to season 2 and it's Going Good >:o) i think i'll try n read the manga after i catch up with the series!

MM! like i can understand it for ppl who are watching weekly but when it's in the middle of an exciting scene it just interrupts the flow of action or the storytelling and im like YES WE KNOW BAKUGO IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE BULLY THAT MIDORIYA LOOKS UP TO FOR SOME UNKNOWN FUCKING REASON GET ON WITH IT lskdfjjlfjsks idk maybe it's because they need to pad the eps out to 25 mins but don't have enough $$$ for that so they have to reuse a bunch of scenes or something

@pierrotten he's a good one @seanimal noooo he's my housemate's his name is chester - he's a doll but is really a lot of work got some fear aggression, separation anxiety etc housemates organised a positive reinforcement trainer and it's going ok! lots of work tho ;;
