‘Seabirds are as fascinating as sharks, as iconic as Pandas, as endangered as elephants’ - @thomaspeschak • • Handa is an island off the west coast of Sutherland, Scotland. It is run as a nature reserve by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Each summer, nearly 100,000 seabirds breed here, including internationally important numbers of guillemots, razorbills, great skuas and puffins. This portrait is an actual Atlantic Puffin I took a photo of when I first visited the island.
