Churches of Devon: Holy Trinity Old Church, Bicton, only survives as a small tower and some 'planned' ruins, having been replaced in 1850 and turned into a romantic ruin, in part by Nicholas Pugin.

I don’t post sketches here often so while I work on my next piece I’ll be sharing some from the archives! Going by architect/practice so expect some posts lined up.

Didn’t intend for it to be chronological but first up is the Victorian — I love drawing Pugin in his self-designed liturgical attire because they are extremely beautiful objects of design. (Not to mention that he was referred to as ‘bishop Pugin’ by some people in his time, for his great religious passions!) ⚜️
