The Magnificent Ms. Marvel #15 (December 2020 This Outlawed crossover this was not good, but the individual incarnation as a subplot of Ms. Marvel's book was very good in Saladin Ahmed's hands.

Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen vol. 3, #4 (December 2019)

Not that recent anymore, but the series did just end last month. 

You gotta love this cover (though I wish it were in full-color). I love the ragged remains of the DC logo and slogan from 1984.

Abbott: 1973 #2 (February 2021)

Man, I loved the first Abbott series and as soon as I heard about this one I made sure to add it to my pull-list. The way I buy comics (every 4 to 6 weeks) means that I have this and the previous issue to look forward to.

Oh, and the ever-brilliant Nick Miller, wrote about the first Abbott series on The Middle Spaces last year:  “Burn His Words”: Abbott and the Illumination of Whitestream Culture.

DC Special #21 (May 1976)

If there was ever a better title for a comic book than "Superheroes War Against the Monsters" I can't imagine what it might be. This was from the box of comics Brian Cremins sent me.

Future State: Superman vs. Imperious Lex #1 (March 2021)

I had no interest in the "Future State" event, but I always have interest in Mark Russell's comics, especially when drawn by Steve Pugh. This first issue was fantastic.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #19 (December 2020)

I am all for more Miles Morales, but yet another “Clone Saga’ is not what I had in mind. Sigh.
