I’ve found a few books lately on pulled thread embroidery )top green photo). This isn’t like Hardanger embroidery (bottom beige image) which most people have heard of or even Lefkara embroidery from Cyrpus where you actually cut threads to make empty spaces before embroidering - that is drawn thread embroidery. In pulled thread embroidery there is no cutting at all. you are just making stitches and pulling them tightly so as to create spaces. Pretty neat.
