He stopped crying, stiffening somewhat at  the voice. He’d been off by himself in a desk, trying to look like he was just reading a textbook. No one had noticed him, like usual. The week hadn’t been the easiest, and he’d just needed to spend some time by himself.

“I-I didn’t even know I was,” he said timidly, before looking at her. His eyes were big and somewhat reddened behind his large, circular glasses. “A-and you do?”
