Accomplishment
I’ve had this Little Pullip for a while now but couldn’t work out getting her on a new body. I finally have her finished and on a 1/12 Picco Neemo S body. Her neck joint is a ball and socket joint. So the first thing I tried was cutting the neck ball off her original body and gluing it to the neck peg. Unfortunately that wasn’t stable and the head kept coming off. At that point I let it be for a month or so before coming back to it.
What I finally ended up doing is taking a spare neck peg I had from another project, inserting a cut nail into it. I carefully filed the peg piece to fit into the neck socket of the head. This time I used a different glue, Super Glue 5 minute epoxy. This stuff holds very well and has a bit of flexibility. It does smell horrible when you mix the two materials. Then I put some of that super glue epoxy on it and this gives it the perfect amount of friction so it isn’t loose and can hold a pose. I also used the same stuff to glue the nail into the neck socket. Her neck hole does not lead into the body, it’s just a small closed off cylindrical socket. She can move her head almost as well as the original. More pics of the new body will be in a future post.
