I just started collecting pullips and found your blog but I Just wanted to let you know your MIO doll amethyst is beautiful! How did you get her eye chips to look like that?! I'm blown away! She is flawless!

Yay! It’s great that you’re starting your own Pullip collection! ^_^ I hope you’re enjoying this hobby. :) I’m also so glad that you really like my MIO! It’s very kind of you and I’m very happy that you have so many nice things to say about her! v////v I can’t take credit for her eyes though, I actually bought them from kirakirameanssparkle. :) She’s currently away from her shop, but her work is amazing and her prices are very affordable! If you want to attempt to make your own though, she does have a post showing how she makes them here. ^_^

So apparently my mom liked my dolls so much that she decided to show the pictures to her coworkers, and now they all want one, too. I'm indirectly turning people into Pullip fans! xD I love it!

Hi! I was kind of wondering, at what age did you start doll collecting? I myself am 13, but I'd really love to start Pullip collecting!

I actually started just this year, not too long before I turned 23. :) I think it’s perfectly fine if you’d like to start collecting them at your age. ^_^  If you like them and can take good care of them, then I don’t think it really matters how old you are. So, as long as your parents are okay with it,  I say you should go for it!

What got you into collecting pullips?

I actually found Pullip dolls through collecting Ever After High dolls! :D I liked the concept of the Ever After High characters being the sons and daughters of famous fairy tale characters, being a huge fan of fairy tale stories and all, and I enjoyed watching the webisodes, too! ^_^ As I was shopping around online to add more EAH dolls to my collection (they don’t carry them dolls here in Japan, unfortunately),  I had found a Pullip doll by chance. I never heard of them before and became curious about them, so I decided to look into them more.

As I searched, I soon became lost in looking at picture after picture of all the different Pullip dolls. I thought they were just so charming with their big eyes, pretty faceups and features (I liked how they didn't have a very realistic look to them and that they looked sort of like elegant Victorian dolls with a bit of a modern and anime-ish twist), and beautifully detailed clothing and accessories that came in an array of different styles! I also thought it was adorable how some of them came with miniature plush dolls, too! :3 Then, I spotted Alice Du Jardin (the mint haired version) and just completely fell in love and I had to have her! I landed up buying both her and Dal Heart Macaron around the same time, and once I had saw them in person, I was in awe with just how gorgeous they both were, and it all just kind of escalated from there. xD
