the revelation could go both ways, really. that eunho realized the people around him were not deserving of the whole-hearted trust that he placed in them, that eunho trusted too freely and was quite stupid for it. pity the fool who believed a singular, unifying goal (the eradication of all wanderers!) would prove a sufficient barrier to the cruelties of ambition. both parts naivety and selfishness, he's come to conclude after hours of sitting alone in his darkened apartment. evenings drinking downstairs only delayed his more introspective moments; burdensome thoughts came crashing down on him as though eunho was the magnet of an mri.
he'd been uniquely oblivious to the notions of others being others. he could muster sympathy for wrongs and suffering, had come to appreciate compassion and a good heart, enough to trip and fall headfirst in love. but a certain dismissiveness colored his opinions. sure, but… the wanderers. they're what really matters. he was not as nice a person as he thought.
