bumps his face against his hair. rubs his smell into him to find him later if he gets into trouble.
They’re a cacophony of carnivores among a world of sick lambs. To think a man who barely knows the outer structures of how modern civilization works ( much less hard candy, what an experience that was; introducing Heine to the luxuries of artificial flavoring contained by cheap plastic could only be seen once ) would be left with Suzuya is beyond anything he could expect at this point. Currently they’re on the rooftop of a skyscraper– approximately 10 stories. It’s not the highest in his book of danger but certainly enough to enjoy car lights showing off the mock dance of fireflies far, far below.
Even so, Heine sticks close by. Doesn’t get too close to the railing, he briefly wonders why that is.
“ The city never sleeps, that’s why I like it so much. ” Always something to do, something to see, to eat. You’re never bored in Tokyo, that much he’ll admit. There’s high hopes that Heine’s time here has been fun solely because most of the things he’s seeing for the first time have been equally mutual for Suzuya. “ ..Probably because I can’t afford to play hooky any longer. ” This is said with closed eyes and grins. Day shifts were grueling on his schedule, insomnia an unforgiving disease. He’s sure Heine can relate with how they both roam the streets so freely without a care in sight. Two dogs stuck under the thumbs of a corrupted watchman, maybe that’s why they’ve gotten so close in such little time.
“ We both haven’t showered, so let’s head back-- I know I smell like guts right now. ”
