Here are 10 ways to make your life as a parent a little easier.
If your baby has developed cradle cap (flaky skin on the scalp) moisturize with a bit of coconut oil and use a baby comb to gently help remove the flaking skin
Make your own pumping bra! Put on an old sports bra, mark where your nipples are, then remove and cut holes large enough to fit your pump parts and voila!!
Freezer meals and double batch cooking! Doing this and having these on hand for those unpredictable days are a life saver.
This really works! When you are moving a sleeping baby from your arms to a crib… ever so gently lower them in keeping a hand around their back and one on their tummy. That continuous pressure will ease the transition. If they startle keep the gentle pressure, pat and slink away.
Poop stains. Scrub with soap, then hang in the sunlight. When dry, wash as normal.
Layer crib sheets. Use a waterproof sheet protector then layer with several crib sheets, this will make those leaks of any kind at 2am a little easier to manage.
Teething. Make breastmilk ice cubes, then put in a mesh feeder, ah relief!
Battery operated cocktail mixer. They spin fast enough to properly mix formula but not so fast that it makes it foamy.
Change stations. If you live in a multi-level home, keep a bin with a change pad, diapers, wipes and creams on each floor.
Back pack it! A more ergonomic and travel friendly way to carry all things baby. You can even wear baby whilst you carry all your gear. Hands free!
