Quick little story before I go to bed:
The other day, Kimmer went to Trader Joe’s to pick up a box of their Pumpkin Joe Joe’s. Now the deal with that is that these Joe Joe’s are peanut-free. No peanuts on any equipment on which they were made. No peanuts in the air, even.
So she buys the box and heads for home.
Here’s the part she didn’t tell me:
At some point, she must’ve wanted to partake whilst on the road and, as a matter of habit, must’ve also checked the box for allergens. You know, like milk, soy... nuts.
And there it was: May contain traces of peanuts.
Turns out, Trader Joe’s had a shipment of these that were nut-free, and a shipment (the more recent one) that was actually exposed to nuts. Which is how I wound up with a whole box of Pumpkin Joe Joe’s with my name on it. Not literally my name on it, of course. Although I’m quite willing to take a thick, black sharpie to it if there are any questions.
So. Turns out she can’t have anything in the box... and because she’s gonna pass Wal*Marts on the way home, she stops in and grabs their cupcakes we adore so much.
Which is how Kimmer wound up with an entire tray of Wal*Marts cupcakes with her name on it. Not literally, of course. But the fact she’s eaten almost all of them by now pretty much tells the tale.
She gotta whole tray of cupcakes to herself. I gotta whole box of cookies to myself.
And that, my friends, is what we call a win-win.
