As someone who helped make an ARG in the late 90s/early 2000s, before the term ARG existed - MatShat's pitiful "game" makes me laugh so fucking hard. Like there's so much I could say in comparing it to actual good ARGs, even ones from this time period, but the bottom line is a good ARG takes TIME and EFFORT, the 2 things this manlet NEVER employs. I'm sorry if that sounds really elitist but my family worked really hard for years in the same "field" and I'm proud of them. MatShat just wants views

Agreed. This lowkey feels like an insult to people who put lots of time and effort into building their ARG and making it convincing and creating puzzle for it. His thing (i wont even call it an ARG i’m calling it a thing) is just a scavenger hunt of some sort mixed with a trivia quiz. And if he wanted to try his shot at ARG and do a test, he should've spent 1) more time developing it and creating interesting puzzles and ways to introduce it to the public and 2) go look at other ARGs for reference or try to get in contact with people who created ARGs for tips (if some ARG creators have outed themselves, because i think a lot stays anonymous? I’m no expert so you can correct me on that since you seem to know a whole lot about it!!)

But yeah his thing just feels like a pretentious attempt at an ARG, since it seems to be ~trendy~.

As a disabled person who learned a lot about themselves thanks to this funky little game, this blog feels like someone actually heard me rave about UT and its impact on my life and agreed that this should happen. Thank you so much, you should be proud of yourselves - I know it's easy to say that this accessibility should be the bare minimum, and within reason that's correct, but your time and effort still deserve respect. What a great idea <3

thank you for your kind words! undertale has absolutely made an impact on many people, myself included, so i wanted to at least try to help make the fandom more accessible, and this seemed like a good way to do it!

Hope the pain eases soon. For what it's worth, learning about your health challenges & how they influence the way you interact with XIV and the community-I feel the same way you do about a lot of things. I used to feel insecure about it, as if my living vicariously through my character made her some cringey self-insert, but the way you describe your relationship w/Shofie, I stopped being afraid of that. So thanks for that, & I hope we both continue to find good times despite our health.💗

To me, having a self-insert is fantastic. I know I’ve talked about it before a couple of times, but I like that Shofie has freedoms I do not, and I live very much through her as a result. I am glad you have embraced your self-insert! All of our RP characters are self-inserts, and there’s no shame in that. 

If people are mad about self-inserts, they can go be mad someplace else. ♥

I hope you find relief, however it may come to you, in-game and out.

Thank you!  I really appreciate it, especially as trying to get the drawing and writing mojo rolling again has been kind of a tough process over the last year, but I think I’m finally starting to get back into the swing of things again.  It’s coming a lot easier than it used to.
