Strange Juice, rush up!
(review only of Part 1) Wasn't there something about a remake for season 1? Was that scrapped?
I couldn't recall anything from S01, so when I got to writing this review, I re-read my old one and was actually pretty surprised at how many complaints I had. Because this season was amazing?
Great pacing, great storytelling, absolutely amazing character/relationship development (Kou and Mitsuba drive me craaaaazy). The art style is still GORGEOUS, the music was great, the VA's were great??? From what I heard this follows the manga much more closely compared to S01 so I completely understand now why that season pissed off the manga fans especially. [9/10] (x)

An experience of being shot 100 times in about 40 minutes. I'm not gonna go into this, everyone knows Alien Stage at this point, I'm the only one late to the party. Though, ya know maybe it's better I wasn't in the wings when this was coming out cause the crashout would've been painful. Fantastic experience. [8/10] (x)
This anime is weird as hell. Has the same problem as a lot of original anime do, tries to be too many things at the same time and doesn't achieve any of it.
This has: a pseudo-magical girl, a secret organization, a robot, ghosts, an asteroid, superpowers, human experiments, soul-switching, the US military, time travel, posession, and panties. Panties?
I think this entire show was built on the fact that pantyshot (panchira) and punchline (panchirain) are pronounced similarly in Japanese. Our MC gets to go Über (superpower) when seeing panties. But see, there's an incredible dissonance here cause near the end of the anime he starts going Über just... by wanting to? And by that point, the pantyshot scenes seemed to be in the anime just cause that was supposed to be the whole schtick but the scenes these happen in feel soooo forced.
This show wasn't going to get a particularly high rating from me cause ya know *gestures at the pantyshots part* but the first half was lowkey SoL? Like the MC, who is the only guy, is barely in any scenes in the first 6 episodes, so I quite enjoyed that portion. But then the second half tries to be serious and all, the fight scenes looked good, but the ending was so quick and unsatisfactory. I dunno how, but this was kind of a bore?
By the way, this was made by MAPPA. [6/10] (x)
My experience watching Punch Line (no joke 10/10 show)
Narugino you're so beautiful but why did I draw your hands in this pose. Why do I do this to myself. Queen why are you a diva
