Do you think that ants have souls? Extension, do you think that any insects have souls, if you believe in the concept of souls in the first place?
I do not in fact believe in what one would consider "the immortal soul" ie some indelible and entirely unique constrained essence of a discrete thing; I do, though, believe in something more like spirit, vital energy, possessed by all things (including ants) at all scales up to and including things one would usually consider inanimate
