Punk!mckirk with Bones having long-ish hair and he wears it in man buns and it's Jim's weakness. He enjoys playing with it and whenever Bones is upset, Jim plays with his hair and he just becomes /putty/ in his hands.

(Eeeeh. I’m not sure how this came out, and it’s six months late, but if you’re still hanging around, Nonnie, I’ve tried to fill this request at long last!)

There is an art, and a certain knack, to handling Bones whenhe’s in a Mood. It’s taken months of pain staking research and experiments thatcould very well have cost Jim his life, but it was worth it – for the pursuitof science of course.

Bones comes storming into the apartment, every muscle tense,and Jim doesn’t even have to ask to know that Bones has definitely had a nogood, very bad day.

“Idiots,” Bones snarls to no one in particular, pacing inthe small space of their living room like a caged animal.

For a moment, Jim lets himself drink in and appreciate thesight. Tight black shirt, God he lovesthat shirt, that does absolutely nothing to hide Bones’ sleeves; even tighterpants, God bless skinny jeans and hiding all the rest of Bones’ clothes so he has to wear them; with hair just startingto curl out of the messy bun Bones had thrown it into in the morning.

It’s a very good thing Jim is currently sitting down,otherwise he’d be close to straight up swooning, even with Bones’ eyes flashingwith his temper.

“Bad day?” Jim quips, and gets the full force of Bones’glare. He merely rolls his eyes and shifts up higher on the couch. “Come sitdown and I’ll get you a beer.”

“Don’t need to ask me twice,” Bones practically growls, andthrows himself down on the couch just as Jim pushes himself up to retrieve muchneeded alcohol from the fridge.

It’s a very good thing that Jim knows how to calm the beast.

He passes Bones his beer over the back of the couch andwaits until he hears it open before he implements his very scientific findings.

Bones starts to rant, but Jim’s attention is focused on thehead in front of him. Carefully, he starts to unwind the elastic in Bones’hair, humming softly in all the right places whenever Bones pauses in hisranting for a sip of beer or to take a breath.

Jim continues on his self-appointed task, running hisfingers through the shoulder-length hair, smoothing out the knots with hisfingers before he begins to twist and play with it, braiding and unbraidingstrands.

Slowly, the ranting on the couch stops, and Bones slumpsback into Jim’s hands.

“Sorry, what was that?” Jim hums with a slight smirk,pulling his hands back.

Bones reaches up and captures Jim’s wrist, pulling it backtoward his head. “Don’t you dare stop now,” he mumbles, eyes closed, beer headloosely in his hands.

“If you insist,” Jim laughs and leans down to press a kissto the top of Bones’ head before he resumes with his boyfriend grooming.

I just wanted to play with the idea of Bones being CMO and having a shit ton of tattoos. Full body drawing coming soon!

I am never, ever, drawing punk!Bones with all of his tattoos on display again.

Some of his tattoos have meaning, so here we go:

- The greek on his arm is the line ‘I will keep them from harm and injustice’ from the medical oath of Hippocrates. - The list of Roman numerals on his ribs is Joanna’s birthday, listed in order as day, month, and year. - The arrow next to it has Joanna’s name in the middle. - On his chest is a compass with the words 'Not all who wander are lost’, and it surrounds a heart. In some roundabout way, this combination of words and symbols mean that home is where the heart is. - The words 'primum non nocere’ on his left leg is Latin for 'do no harm’. - 'I love you’, which is written on his left foot, is written in David McCoy’s handwriting, the last three words in the letter given to Bones after his father’s death.
