HEHEEHE KALEESH OC TIME

Okay so here’s Denla Jal Voskar and she’s an Kaleesh that spent most of her life living either during the Clone Wars or the Empire (she was only 3 when the Clone Wars started and was six when it ended and the Republic fell. She’s probably around 25 by the time of ANH) She was stunted in growth from the famine on Kalee caused by Republic’s embargoes as a response of the war with the Huk (Yam’rii) She hates the Empire with a burning passion as in her eyes, as they’re no better than what she’s heard of the Republic. She has some severe abandonment and identity problems as a result of her father “abandoning” her family as a little girl, leaving her mother to raise her and her older brother Shiv alone on a war torn and famine ravaged planet in a galaxy that hates them for things they didn’t do. She’s grumpy and untrusting, quick to anger and loud. She likes to cause chaos and uses loud music as an outlet for her problems. She loves tookas, painting and making new patches or little dolls for kiddos who don’t have much. She also has a very strong sense of loyalty towards whatever family and friends she has left. She currently works with her brother as a ship mechanic and a smuggler to send back credits for her mother. She’s absolutely lousy with a blaster and prefers to fight with blunt objects. She could be good with a blade but has a strong aversion towards them. Her greaves were stolen off of a dead clone trooper. She also may or may not be force sensitive (haven’t decided) which would likely cause even more turmoil for an already troubled girl.

I stand by opinion that Kaleesh are criminally underrated and DESERVE more attention.

someone came up to me at the bar last night and said “omg i know your costume! it’s from an indie sci-fy straight to vhs movie where you’re character kills a guy in a trash bag.” Me, knowing my costume was an excuse to buy the pants and has no real meaning responded with “omg yeah! nobody’s been able to guess all day!” He then decided to ruin the entire interaction by asking “remind the me the name of the movie?” I’d been caught. “i’m just fucking with you, i’m just an alien, but damn i wish you knew what the movie was called, i’d start telling people i’m that, cause it sounds cool as fuck.”
