So we're turning 7 next week. 7 years of every Monday staying up way past our bed times to give 15 bands a shot at fame and fortune. We've given away around $70,000 total and there's no signs of stopping.
We started celebrating our birthday 2 years ago with the help of No Flyers Please and last year with Tupperware Remix Party. This year we decided to grab one of our favorite cover bands Too Tough to Die (Ramones) to host the evening. Get ready to sing along and eat some cake!
We've had spin offs in Calgary, Charlottetown and Moncton and talks about Montreal and Toronto.
We've helped nurture countless bands and musicians in the local scene by offering them a stage and some beer to get started on.
We've seen some great bands and some shitty ones, we've been covered in beer and covered you in beer. We've drank out of shoes and hats and rolled around in dirt. We've been hit with cookie sheets and dressed in drag. We've chipped teeth and bled and we've had a great time doing it.
Here's to another stupid year.
