The sale supported HEAT WAVES, their yearly group residency.

I was privileged to participate in the HEAT WAVES residency this past summer, and it was a truly lovely experience. Having the space to work on hand-painted experimental animations and experiment with materials, especially after losing access to NSCAD facilities as a grad, meant a lot. The team was incredibly generous, supportive, and kind about all my weird requests.

Listen, I know the joke here is that it’s pathetic that the most exciting thing that ever happened to this woman is her trip to Nova Scotia, but fuck that noise. As a born and raised Nova Scotian I am HONOURED that her trip to NS was so good and memorable that it’s the highlight of her life. I hope she had a FANTASTIC time while she was here. I hope this bitch went to Peggy’s Cove, rode the Harbour Hopper, and heard the noon gun on Citadel Hill.
