you know everyone talks about the enshittification of technology and the world wide web but we so rarely talk about the enshittification of automobiles

and i'm not talking about the complaint i've seen folks have about how they crumple at the smallest collision - like that's supposed to happen - the car crumples so YOU don't

but like...how they've added so many bells and whistles that honestly the car is insane. like not to sound like a boomer but there's a lot of unnecessary shit going on in cars and its definitely pricing them out of anyone's affordability but even more so cars are becoming outright digital now? run by a computer program that can crash and mess up at any time?
