Given Summary - “Why does it bother you?” Crowley asked. “Even if you can’t get to them in time to wipe their memories, it’s not like anyone’d believe them. Kid goes running to her mum saying Ooh, I’ve just seen a bloke with three heads and a sixteen-foot wingspan, what do you think’s going to happen? Chances are they’ll just pat her on the shoulder and tell her what a vivid imagination she’s got.” “That’s not what worries me,” said Aziraphale.

some of my favourite horror movies are the thing, the vvitch, the babadook (even though it's kind of a meme now), hereditary, the wicker man (NOT the nic cage version), let the right one in (it's not really horror and it does have vampires but it's still Good), us, the ring, jacob's ladder and the ritual! i hope some of those are up your alley!
i actually REALLY liked the Babadook!
I understand why it’s so hard for some people to watch, and I appreciate its treatment of some stuff is heavy-handed, but I actually really enjoy films that take depression or another mental illness and craft those into like, an actual monster, especially a monster so artfully designed as the one we see in the Babadook.
Hereditary I haven’t heard of, I’ll add it to the next; sdjfhs Wicker Man is already on my list; Let the Right One In is good; The Ring I have a lot of affection for even though it’s so widely parodied now; The Ritual I despised and am bitter about because big monster was wasted; Jacob’s Ladder I’ll add to the list, and Us, I was conflicted about.
We saw Us in the cinema and like. I really like Jordan Peele’s work - I have to say, like, he’s a guy that’s actually deserving of a real auteur label, you know? There’s much more thematic consistency to his work than just like, being able to pick his fetishes out of the script as you watch his movies.
Us I thought was so interesting - was it heavy-handed? Was it a little OTT? Yeah, sure, but it just felt so incredibly human, and you never for a moment sat there thinking that those people didn’t feel real, that that experience didn’t feel real. I think I enjoyed Us less than Get Out as a horror film, but Us is one I’d probably watch multiple times and enjoy, you know?
But obviously that’s to do with like, the comparative weightiness of the subject matter.
Us was just so... It was so CUTE? In so many areas? Like, I really loved the bit in the car where they were comparing scores and stuff, it was just so great.

Fic rec! Good omens, 9k, featuring...light sex?
Summary: "You never talk about it,” Aziraphale said.
Crowley, drowsing on the sofa with an open book covering his eyes, didn’t answer for a moment. Then he took the book off his face and said, “Talk about what?”
Aziraphale hesitated, trying to figure out if there was a way of saying it without actually saying it. There wasn’t.
“The Fall,” he said. “And… before.”
Comments: This fic could also be summed up by a nagging, tempting, kinda needy/greedy Aziraphale. It comes from love, but he's the one who's asking all the questions from "What was Falling like?" to "Can I see your true form?" to "Can i touch?"
There's a lot going on, aside from getting a touch into the eldritch metaphysical qualities of angels, from Crowley slowly opening up to Aziraphale and Aziraphale relearning what boundaries are. It's about enjoying and here and now, absorbing the other's presence (with i would argue literally happens at one point). It is gorgeously, gorgeously written too. You can't help but get drawn into the emotions here and each beautiful turn of phrase.

Modern Love by punkfaery Word count: 7.4k
Summary: "The crux of it, Crowley decided, was that demons were not supposed to want. Or – well, that wasn’t strictly true. Certain things, such as material wealth and the corruption of innocents and the eventual triumph of Hell over Heaven, and possibly Earth as well, were perfectly all right. The fact that he didn’t particularly care about any of these things just served to add a little extra salt to the wound. It wasn’t a question of wanting. It was a question of wanting the wrong things." Crowley, Aziraphale, and a series of religious buildings.
