I realized I haven’t attempted sculpting a human figure in a REALLY long time- probably a few years! Of course, after thinking about it I had to give it a shot to make sure I hadn’t totally forgotten that skill... Does This Feel Real? Chapter 20: Punk’s Best Friend
Fairy silently crept through the halls, halting at every sound. He really needed a shower after that intense workout. Man was that session frustrating. Travis claimed that he did really good, but his impatience made it hard to believe that. He was right, it was disheartening. But, he was determined to go through with it, no matter how hard it would be: he would dominate that pole and make it sorry it ever singed his thighs.
As he made his way to his room, Fairy stopped as the sound of faint music filled his ears. That sounded like a piano, but, there wasn’t a piano here that he knew of. Curiosity getting the better of him, the flamboyant clone followed the beautiful music to a room he didn’t even know existed. Carefully, he cracked the door open to peek inside. What he found made him blink in shock.
Punk sat at a gorgeous black grand piano, playing away. What made him so surprised however, was the voice the piano accompanied. He had no clue the tattooed man could play, let alone sing. It was, in a word, breathtaking. He fought to keep silent, but out of his disbelief, he spoke. “Punk?”
“Sprakles???” Fairy blinked as Punk slammed the cover down. “I... uh… Didn’ know y’were around t-t’ be honest with y’.” That smile on the other’s face was totally forced and Fairy could easily tell, causing him to tilt his head in confusion.
“Why… why are you so embarrassed? That was… beautiful. Sorry I interrupted, I was just so curious. I didn’t know you knew how to play.” Fairy returned the smile, but kept it warm and reassuring.
“Well… yeah… That was the plan… T’keep it that way… ’m glad y’think it’s good… b-but really, it’s nothin’… In fact, pretty shitty if anything’.”
“What? No it’s not! I… kind of have a fascination with music to be completely honest with you. I’ve studied the theory behind it and listen to it a lot. But… I’ve been so busy, I haven’t gotten a chance learn how to play.” Fairy’s gaze slowly turned to the piano, noting the smile on the Punk’s face. And… was that… a blush?
“Y’ dunno? It’s easy! I can teach it t’ y’.”
"Y-y-you can?" Fairy's face lit up until he remembered why he was there in the first place. "Oh... w-w-well, I don't really have the time to..." He really wanted to stay, but-
"Give yerself some time, jeez, workaholic. That's what you are, work work work! It's just a piano! If y' don't feel up t' it then we can do it 'nother time… but I mean, Punk's here, Sparkle’s is here, and my old pal Eddie is here!” Fairy assumed Eddie was the piano as Punk pat the instrument. "Let's do the basics, yeah?" The other scooted over to leave enough room, letting him take a seat in the center with a smile.
"D'ya know which key's which?"
"Mhm." Fairy let his fingertips lightly rest on the ivory keys. He placed his pointer finger on the C key and looked to Punk for further instruction.
"Right!" Punk nodded his head in excitement. "Know how t' play anythin' 'r just know the keys..?"
"Well... I can read music if that's what you mean. But... I've actually never played it before." Something was definitely running through the other clone’s head. He grinned idiotically and closed his eyes in thought. What was he thinking about? Punk leaned closer and placed his hands on top of his, directing them above the keys, holding them just tightly enough to allow free movement. Fairy blinked with an slightly shocked expression. Well, he supposed there wasn't really another way and Punk must know what he's doing.
Punk hummed a familiar tune as he pressed the keys in rhythm with the sounds he was making, using Fairy's fingers to press the keys as he sung quietly. "C C, G G, A A G, F F, E E, D D, C…” Fairy closed his eyes to get a feel for the pattern and allowed Punk to guide him through. It was obviously a beginner piece, but he'd have to work his way up right? There was something that was distracting him a bit though. And he couldn't figure out what. Focus. He opened his eyes again to study the pattern that way. He felt so... safe. Like, he didn't want to leave.
"Fairy..." Not Sparkles this time.
"Hm?" Fairy never took his eyes off of the piano, but from his peripheral, he noticed Punk turn his head away in deep thought. There was a pause, as if he thought better of it.
"...Do what I just taught y’, 'cept without my hands this time, okay?" Punk didn't move his hands at all, but didn't take control either.
"Alright." Fairy took a deep breath in and started to repeat Punk's patterns, slowly at first but picking up speed and accuracy as time went by. He closed his eyes and smiled. He was… happy.
"That's great!" Fairy finally closed his eyes and played the familiar song from memory with ease. It was a good thing Punk was guiding him along. Wait... he was helping, wasn't he? Fairy fumbled around as he realized that although the gentle touch still remained intact, he was indeed on his own. All his confidence suddenly faded as he cringed at the wrong notes and stopped moving. "H..Huh?" Fairy let out a defeated sigh and looked to Punk.
"S-s-sorry... I guess I really need your help after all huh? I'm no good on my own. Sorry about that." He was majorly irritated with himself. Did he really need help with everything? Punk smiled slightly.
"It's okay to need help, Sparkles."
"He was right... I am pathetic..." Fairy mumbled under his breath, forgetting he wasn't alone. He took another deep breath and closed his eyes, lightly tapping the C key over and over again.
"Stop."
"Hm?" Fairy turned his attention back to Punk. He tilted his head in puzzlement and shock. "Stop what?"
"Why y'gotta think shit like that..." He noted the angry look on the others face. That seemed kind of rare for Punk.
"Oh... Sorry." Fairy could sense Punk's irritation now. He didn't really understand what 'shit' he was talking about, but he figured it's what made him upset.
"You ain't pathetic, don't give in t' that kinda bullshit. Yer so much more than y' think y' are. Who called y' that, the dude with the 'stache?"
"Well..." He gazed into Punk's eyes and thought it best to just be honest with him. "Yeah...." Those words that he spoke though, they filled him with a faint shimmer of hope he didn't know existed. Punk scoffed a little at the confirmation.
"Why ain't I surprised?" Fairy shrugged as a response and gently dragged his hand across the piano.
"Yer so 'mportant."
"I-I-I am?" No one ever told him that before.
"Yes! Yes you are, Fairy! Y' mean so much to-" Fairy narrowed his eyes in suspicion at the slight pause. "Yer worth so much more than yer told, Sparkles..." Fairy blinked and tilted his head yet again.
"Well... I'm glad you think so..."
"Why don't you?" The tattooed man turned back to look him in the eyes. "Wha's so bad about ya? I don't see any negative things 'bout ya." Fairy held Punk's gaze, searching for the reason he may have been trying so hard.
"W-w-well, I'm dependent, needy, weak, selfish, a failure..."
"So what 'bout bein' dependent and needy? Some people like help. Some dudes like helpin'. Weak my ass if y' can sit through that shit. What's the bullshit 'bout you bein’ selfish? Jus' now I had to convince you to take some time for yerself." Fairy opened his mouth to argue, but quickly shut it. He had no arguments. Everything he said was true. He still didn't believe it, but he couldn't argue the truth. Instead he just looked away and pressed down on a single key again.
The grip on Fairy's hands tightened slightly as Punk started through the same movements, softly singing the keys to him again. It was strange right after such an argument, but Fairy ignored that. He was too busy trying his best to hold back the tears. He couldn't let him see him crying, not again. Somehow he managed to keep them in as he got the feel of the pattern again. "There ya go..."
"Thank you Punk." Fairy smiled at the support and started to lead through the song.
"Don't mention it."
"No, I'm not just gonna shrug this off." Fairy stopped and folded his hands neatly into his lap. "No one.... no one has ever been this kind to me."
"W-why? Why ain't anyone nice t'ya?"
"No, people are plenty nice." He warmly smiled. "Just because they don't say something doesn't mean they don't think it. They just don't see a reason to say it."
"Well yer reason enough fer me." Fairy narrowed his eyes in confusion before laughing his suspicion off.
"Well, not everyone's as sweet as you are."
"Trust me. I noticed." Punk smiled a bit in return, making Fairy giggle softly.
"I didn't know you had such a big ego."
"It's totally that."
"Wow, and sarcasm? You're like a whole different person."
"Still like me?"
"What's not to like?"
"That's what I thought." Punk chuckled. Fairy really enjoyed the banter, and it seemed like he did too.
"Oh? Why were you so confident that I would say that?" Fairy let out a small giggle as well, smile widening with each moment that passed.
"Cause I'm awesome!"
"Hm, you're lucky that's true or else you'd just look like an asshole."
"Oh? Y'think so?"
"Oh, I know so." Fairy lightly pushed Punk's shoulder with his own.
"You said it, not me." Except he totally did say it.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure we both did. But that just makes it even more true, don't it?"
"Mmmhm, double the awesome, sounds 'bout right.~"
"Psh, easy there. I don't think it's possible to be double awesome. Save some for the rest of us why don't you?"
"Only you, if that's the case." That did it. The tears that he had been saving for another time- preferably when he was alone- started to slowly drip down his face, tracing his joyful smile and falling onto the piano.
"Thanks, I'll need that."
"Yo... Uh... Sparkles..." Fairy saw Punk rub the back of his head.
"Hm?" Fairy wiped way the tears on his face and faced Punk through his watery eyes.
"You... Yer... Yer special."
"Thanks. You are too."
"Not in the same way y' are."
"What... what do you mean?"
"Y' mean more than other people would t' me."
"I'm sorry that's true." Shit that's not good. I can't tell him...
"I'm not."
“No... Punk... you don't understand. I'm happy that I mean so much to you, but..."
"You like someone else, right? That's it, isn't it?" Punk sighed with a defeated smile. "That's life, ain't it."
"What? Why... why would that matter?" Fairy tilted his head in confusion. Unless...
"You get it, right?" Punk glanced back over to Fairy, his face only betraying a small bit of sadness.
"Um... I don't know... I was talking about something about my future. I don't really know what you're talking about..."
"Future..?" Fairy froze in place.
"Y-y-yeah... I..." He let out a defeated sigh and looked Punk in the eyes, the only thing shining in his eyes was seriousness. "Look, there's a reason I can't get close to anyone..."
"Why?"
"I... I can't say... All I can say is that it's not really my doing."
"D' y’ wanna do it?"
"I.... I don't know... I..." Fairy’s hands started to shake along with his voice.
"Then don't."
"I do.... but... I'm scared..."
"Of what..?" Fairy’s watery eyes rose up to lock with Punk’s.
"Failure."
"Y' ain't ever gonna be a failure."
"But... if I don't do this... then I will be."
"No! Y' won't! If yer doin' what you wanna do then you ain't a failure!"
"Punk... this is my purpose. "
"Everyone's purpose in life is t' have fun; do what they want."
"Punk... I know that's what you think, and that maybe true for you. But... I was created for one purpose."
"Fuck that! Weren't we all jus' put here for that shit!? You're you! Do what you want and if anyone's not okay with it? That's their problem!"
"But I don't know what else to do..."
"Whatever you want."
"But I don't know what I want. All I know is that I want to make him and you and everyone else happy. This is the only way I can."
"I doubt it."
"He's made it clear..."
"Shut up..."
"...Sorry... Was... was that all for now?" Fairy turned his head away and ran his hand across the keys, not making any sound.
"You want us t' be happy, but if yer not happy then who says I'll be?"
"But I will be happy. It's just now, I don't know how to deal with all of this..."
"When you ain't with me I'm usually pretty unhappy..." Fairy bit his quivering lip. He didn't want this to be true. It wasn't true. "I'm sorry..."
"No, don't be sorry. There's nothing to be sorry for."
"I've upset you, ain't I?"
"No. It's not you..."
"F-Fairy..."
"What?"
"Promise me... You'll be happy, yeah?"
"Yeah. That's the thing I can promise most. I may not know how to deal with this right now, but I'll figure it out." Fairy narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "Why?"
"Cause your happiness lights up my world."
"And yours means the world to me."
"Thanks..." Fairy started to break down again. He didn't want Punk to see him, but he'd rather it be him than Wilford. "Eh..?"
"S-s-sorry... it's just..." He tried to stabilize his cries long enough to speak, but only managed a couple words.
"You don't gotta 'pologize for anythin', Sparkles. Here... Maybe if... Y' like I can play you a… uh, song? It's the one I was practicin'." Fairy shook his head and the thoughts in them before nodding in conformation.
"Um... okay... what is it?"
"It's a lil' piece Mark likes! It sounds really good, and I wanted to try'n play it, so, critique me, yeah? And uh… Don't laugh at my singin'... I know I'm ass but, ehehe..." Fairy just smiled and scooted over to allow him more room, watching his fingers intently.
"I'm sure you're fine." Punk occupied the room with a smile on his face, the smile fading once his hands were in position. He started to tap the keys after putting his feet in the right position, singing when it's his cue.
"Short steps, deep breath, everything is alright..." Fairy's smile grew as the song went on, studying the movements happily. He stopped and found his attention raise to Punk's face. It made him happy. This feeling was so familiar. But... from where? As soon as Punk gave him a dreamy look and smile while singing, Fairy quickly looked away and brushed the hair out of his flushed face. Why was he blushing? It felt so familiar, this feeling. "When this world is noo mooore... The moon is all we'll see.. I'll ask you to fly away with me...”
Fairy’s eyes went wide as he realized this feeling. It wasn't good; it was very bad. He stumbled backwards and landed on his rear as he fell off the seat, staring in fear up at Punk. He was shaking. This was bad. This wasn't supposed to happen. He was falling again. And this time, it was someone who wanted him back. Punk stopped the song and pauses, looking away for a moment.
"I...I'm sorry..." Fairy looked down with the large eyes he still carried, watching his hands shake uncontrollably.
"I... I should go..."
"If.. if that's what y’ want..." Fairy jumped up and hurriedly made his way to the door but stopped, taking on last glance at Punk. He worded an apology before leaving a sad tattooed man alone with his best friend.
Does This Feel Real? Chapter 15: A Fairy’s Unspoken Pain
More Punkfairy? HELL YEAH!
previous
Punk walked down the hallway while he rubbed his face irritation. How did this happen? He hadn’t known the fairy for very long before he started developing feelings for him. He was just so kind and selfless and strong. It wasn’t fair what that asshole was doing to him. He deserved to be treated right, not emotionally abused. Punk wished he could do something, anything. But like always, he was rendered useless. He just wanted to help. He stopped dead as he heard small sniffling. That sounded like-
“Shit!” Punk hastily followed the noise and halted as he located the source of the cries. He swallowed hard and kneeled beside Fairy, resting a hand on the other’s shoulder. “Was the matter Sparkles?”
“G-g-go, away.” Punk let out a shallow sigh and shook his head. He tried to look into Fairy’s eyes, but the flamboyant man covered his own face to hide himself from any confrontation.
“Sparkles, ya know I can’t do that.” He paused as Fairy twisted his body away from him. “Not when you’re like this anyhow.” Punk shifted in the uneasy silence. “Was got ya so upset?” As if on cue, the door in front of them flew open, revealing a very pissed off Wilford. He looked down at them with a shocked and hurt expression. No, that last part couldn’t be right. It looked almost as if he had been betrayed. Whatever it was, it didn’t last long. Wilford huffed and slammed the door behind him, glaring at Punk through narrowed eyes. Punk did the same as their eyes locked before Wilford glanced back at Fairy and angrily marched down the hall.
Punk jumped to his feet to follow suit, but was stopped as he felt a hand grab his own. Looking behind him with barred teeth, his anger suddenly burned out. Fairy sat with his head turned away, biting down on his lip. Punk glanced back at the end of the hallway before returning his attention to the hand he held. Sighing in defeat, he slid down the wall. The tattooed clone took a seat beside the other while tightening his grip.
“There, there Sparkles. Is alright. I’m here. I won’t let him-” Punk stopped with wide eyes as Fairy abruptly flung himself into his lap. He slowly wrapped his arms around the other once the shock settled. The arms around his own neck clung desperately, nearly choking him in the process. As Punk strengthened his hold, Fairy dropped his arms and relaxed while pressing his hands against the tattooed chest. The clone with the piercings could feel his shirt dampen while he brought the other body closer. He started to slightly rock back and forth, leaning his head against Fairy’s. He stilled his movements as he heard a mumble below him, bringing his ear closer to make out the words that were spoken. “Was that?”
“…m s-s-sorry…” Punk rubbed Fairy’s back and continued to gently sway them. He moved his head back against the other’s as he hushed him.“Don’ apologize. It ain’t your fault he treat ya like that.”
“Y-y-yes it is. If I-I-I wasn’t s-s-such a f-f-failure-”
“Stop it. You ain’t a failure. Not one bit. He’s the failure for not seein’ what he got.” Punk felt Fairy’s head shift to look up to him.
“W-w-what h-h-he has?”
“Yeah, well, I mean you a good person an’ all. You’d do anythin’ for him. He don’ realize that.” Nice save.
“Oh… yeah…” Punk was about to continue his motions until Fairy spoke up again. “B-b-but h-h-he does know that. H-h-h-he lets me h-help him. But I-I-I only ever fail a-a-and-”
“Sparkles, look at me.” Punk placed his hand under Fairy’s chin and guided him until their eyes met. “Ya ain’t a failure. Stop sayin’ ya are. He wants ya to think that. I don’ know why…” -because he’s a fucking asshole- “…but it’s all in your head. An he put it there. Hell, it brightens my day just when ya say hi. I hate seein’ ya like this. Ya don’ deserve this. Your real ‘portant t’ me Sparkles. Ya deserve the world an I wish I could give it t’ ya.”
“I-I-I-I’m s-s-sorry…”
“How many times I keep tellin’ ya? Is not your fault. He jus-”
“No… I’m sorry I’m important to you.” Punk slightly leaned back in surprise. He mapped out what he was going to say carefully before he dared open his mouth.
“I’m not. I’m glad I met ya.”
“B-b-but I’m only ever going to hurt you…” What the hell was he going off about?
“You ain’t hurtin’ me Sparkles. In fact, it hurts more when I can’t see ya. Every day I wake up an think, ‘man I can’t wait to see Sparkles today’. An when I don’ see ya, I get all sad like. Ya make me happier than anyone or anythin’ in the whole world…” Punk trailed off the longer he went. Everything he said was completely true. Sure he’d been in previous relationships, but no one ever made him feel this way. Was what Mark said true? Had he really developed feelings for the fragile life in his arms? It had only been maybe a month since they’d met. Well, why wouldn’t he? The man in his lap was one of the nicest and upbeat people he had ever met. It was nice to have that when everyone around here was either a manipulative asshole or some depressed and angry dick. Fairy was the source of all life and light that radiated around the others, around him. It was depressing as fuck when he wasn’t around. If only he knew that.
“I c-c-can’t get close to anyone. He’d just…” Fairy’s sniffles brought Punk back to the situation at hand.
“I don’ care.” He replied sternly, his gaze hardening before Fairy looked away. He pulled the other’s head into his chest and tightened his grip. “I can take him, easy. If he ever hurt ya again I swear I’ll-”
“I want Mark.” Punk stilled as he glanced around. He wasn’t helping him. He was useless.
“Alright, come on.” Punk grunted as he lifted Fairy and carried him down the way he’d come. At least he trusted Mark. But it still hurt that he couldn’t help the one helping him. As they reached Mark’s door, Fairy tapped on Punk’s shoulder.“Wha?” Punk gave a questioning expression while he halted behind the door. He took one look at Fairy and answered his own question. “Oh, right. Sorry there.” He watched as the other clone wiped his eyes and fixed his dress before taking a deep breath. Punk opened the door as he noticed Fairy nod in confirmation. Mark twisted his head around and shot up as he saw them stand in the doorway.
“Fairy? What’s-” Mark was interrupted when Fairy rushed over and embraced him tightly. Punk leaned against the door in annoyance. Why couldn’t he do anything? He turned his head to the two and observed Mark nod his head in approval and worded his thanks over to him. Punk just shrugged in return and turned his back to the two before shutting the door behind him. He kept his hand on the handle for a long while with his head hung. Finally letting go, Punk slid down to the floor with his back leaning against the door. He curled up and gripped his hair in frustration. How could he keep his promise? That was why he was so mad, right?
No, it was because of how Fairy felt. Punk had no clue he was having these issues. He knew that he was hurting, but not to this extant. Damn, if he would’ve known sooner maybe he could’ve helped. But he couldn’t. The most important person to him was hurting, and he couldn’t do a damn thing about it. No, there was one thing he could do. He had to be there for him. He had to remind him what he was worth. He had to protect him. This wasn’t about some stupid promise anymore. It was about him.
Does this Feel Real? Chapter 12: Arms for the Inkin’
Here’s Chapter 12 to Does This Feel Real?
This chapter introduces a very important character and maybe the final person to a love triangle? Who knows!
The answer is yes.
Fairy groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. The light from the hallway seeped into the room. It was just enough to keep the irritated clone from sleeping. Well, no use trying. Fairy groggily sat up on the bed, wincing at the pain that rushed to his head. His brain violently pulsed against his skull, causing immense agony. Great, something else to hate about morning. Massaging his temples, the copy scrunched his eyebrows together.
“Morning.” Fairy flinched at the dramatically loud sound. Stretching his arms in the air, he opened his eyes and searched the room for the source of the voice. In the chair facing him, Mark sat with a friendly smile. Fairy just grumbled in response. “Don’t like mornings?” Fairy slightly shook his head, careful not to move too quickly.
“My head hurts,” Fairy stated, his drowsy eyes only half open. He narrowed his eyes as a warning when he heard the other man laugh.
“Well of course it does. That’s usually what happens after drinking too much. I’m just surprised you-” Mark was quieted by Fairy’s intimidating glare.
“You’re too loud,” he whined while pointing to his forehead.
“Oh, oh right. Sorry,” Mark whispered as he stood up and made his way to the other. “Do you need help up?”
Fairy shook his head again with caution and pushed himself up. He lost his balance but was caught by Mark. Leaning against the original, he stood still in an attempt to recover before he was able to support himself.
Got it? There you go.” Fairy rubbed his eyes as Mark muttered reassuring words. Just as his headache started to ease off, the door swung open and crashed against the wall. He winced in pain and glared at the person who dared get in his way during this time of day. There before him was a clone covered in tattoos and piercings: Punk.
“Ther’ ya are. I got worrin’ ‘bout ya when I didn’ see ya come home. I stayed up all night waitin’ an’ I feel asleep. I thought that he did somethin’ to ya. Man, he’s lucky I found ya before I found ‘im. I woulda-” Too loud. Rage burning in his eyes, Fairy brought his finger to Punk’s lips and silenced him. “Wassit somethin’ I said?” Punk asked through the finger over his mouth. Fairy watched as he turned his head to face Mark who just shrugged in response. “Was the matter Sparkles?”
“What’s the matter? What’s the matter? Oh, I’ll tell you what’s the matter. For one, you’re not supposed to be in here Punk. You know that.”
“Yeah, but I was worried ‘bout ya and I-”
“Don’t interrupt me,” Fairy demanded, his voice rising in volume.
“Well I’m sorry I-”
“Two, I literally just woke up. I don’t like waking up. Three, I have a fucking hangover. Four, I have a hangover because of something I wanted to forget. But guess what? I still remember it, so it was all for nothing. Five, I have to do something I really don’t want to do today. So, Punk, please explain why I shouldn’t be fucking upset about this shitty situation. Because I would really like to know.” At this point, Fairy had backed Punk up against the wall and repeatedly poked his chest. He made the other raise his hands up defensively.
“Not a mornin’ person, eh?” Punk asked, facing Mark again for confirmation. Big mistake. Fairy clenched his fists and bit his lip to keep the rage inside. He spun around and marched out of the room, Punk following close behind. The clone in the dress closed his eyes as he felt Punk grab his hands. “Aw, come on, don’t be like that man. I’m sorry I-” Punk was interrupted by a fist to the face, causing him to stumble to the ground. Fairy breathed heavily with his hand triumphantly in the air.
“Don’t, touch, me.” After speaking those words, Fairy walked away from the stunned man. I’m surrounded by fucking idiots, all of them. I can’t believe I’m stuck with these morons. Why am I even still here? The sound of a familiar voice answered his question.
“No, no, you don’t understand… Yes, yes I know… No, I don’t-… Now you listen here.” Curiosity taking over, Fairy pressed his ear against the closed door. “I don’t care about him… Yes I know I’m protective that’s because-…. Yes, yes exactly. It’s the only way. If something happened to him beforehand, it would ruin everything… Yes, I know but-…. Alright…. That would be best… Mhm… Goodbye.”
“Whatch ya’ doin’ sparkles?” Fairy instinctively grabbed the body that spoke behind him and covered the man’s mouth, returning his head back against the door.
“Why does everyone think that? Damn it, I don’t. Maybe I should make it more clear? No, no, he needs to have hope that I do. Fuck it, it doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks. All that does matter is that everything goes according to plan. But the plan is to not get attached to him. Well, it’s not like I will anyways. You know it will mess everything up if you do. Which is exactly why I won’t. You’ll have to be more careful, he’s been more defiant lately. I know, I know. I’ll have to take it a step further it seems. But, is it really necessary? Well, in any case it doesn’t matter. It’ll just be, uh, just be a joke. Yeah, a joke. Hopefully no one will have to see anyways. I’ll have to do it in the most opportune moment. Maybe I should just create it instead. Yeah, yeah, that could work. Alright now to plan this out.”
“Who’s he talkin’ about?” Punk asked as Fairy finally let go.
“I- I don’t know,” Fairy answered, his eyes wide in thought. But I have a fairly good idea. He sat on the ground with his head hung. Punk glared at him from behind, not knowing what to say.
“Well, it don’t matter anyway.” Fairy looked up at the other to find an extended hand reached out towards him. He shook his head and pushed himself up before fixing the fluff on his dress.
“Why’s that?” Fairy asked in return, bringing his gaze up to meet the other’s.
“I mean, why should we worry ‘bout his plan? Why should we be part of it?” Punk questioned, his hands grabbing Fairy’s shoulder in an attempt to make their eyes meet.
“Because, I don’t want anyone else to hurt,” Fairy explained as he brushed the other’s hands away. He avoided Punk’s serious eyes and brought his hand to his own arm, hugging it tightly.
“How’s that?”
“I’m very important to this plan. I’m afraid that if I don’t play my part, someone else will.”
“Was that?”
“Well, I’m not completely sure but-” Fairy jumped as he heard the door behind him creak open. He spun around to face the man before him. Wilford stared back in shock and fear, but quickly shook his head to clear his face of all emotion. What was he so afraid of?
“Oh, uh, Sparkles. What are you doing here?” Fairy raised an eyebrow Wilford’s question, noticing the man ever-so-slightly inch across the wall away from him.
“What? Is there a reason I can’t be here?” Fairy asked, his rage returning as he stepped towards the other.
“No, no, no, no reason at all! Just, uh, curious is all.” Wilford threw his hands up in the air defensively as he leaned back against the wall. He was trapped, and Fairy very much enjoyed that fact.
“Really? You weren’t talking about me were you?” The flamboyant clone inched closer, his eyes glaring into Wilford’s with suspicion. They were too close for his liking apparently, because he cowered down slightly and turned his head. Fairy leaned forward with a questioning expression.
“No.” Wilford paused while he narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “Why would you think I was?” Fairy took a step back in realization. Whops. He forced a gulp as he witnessed the asshole straighten up and advance towards him with his head cocked. “Were you eavesdropping? Fairy dear, you know I don’t appreciate that.” Now it was Fairy backed up against the wall. Wilford placed a hand beside the other clone and leaned closer with a smirk clinging onto his face.
“I-I-I-”
“Nah, don’ be so full of yourself man. He was with me the whole time,” Punk defended as he shoved Wilford away and wrapped his arm around Fairy. “Ain’t that right?”
“Uh, yeah, totally.” Wilford kept his unconvinced eyes on Fairy until he finally threw his hands up in defeat.
“Fine, fine. I needed to talk to you anyways. Fairy,” Wilford called as he nodded down the hall. Fairy reluctantly followed before he worded ‘thank you’ to Punk who smiled in return. The tattooed man let out a sad sigh as he put his hands in his pockets and kicked the ground before sulking in the opposite direction. Fairy couldn’t help but feel a little guilty for leaving him like that, but with Wilford leading him away, he couldn’t really do anything. When he made sure they were alone, the mustached man abruptly stopped and slammed Fairy against the wall. It didn’t hurt, but it was enough to knock the air out of him.
“W-w-what do you want, Wilford?” Fairy asked after he managed to catch his breath. He was so confused. The position they were in made him wildly blush. But the smirk on the other’s face made him want to punch it right off. Wilford made it even worse as he leaned in closer. So long for breathing.
“An explanation. I know that you took Mark out even though I specifically told you not to. I want to know why,” Wilford demanded, his breath heating up Fairy’s forehead. He spoke in a soft but stern voice.
“O-o-oh, I-”
“You know I can’t have you disobeying my orders without a punishment. Otherwise, you’ll never learn your lesson.” He inched closer. That can’t be good.
“I-I-I’m sorry, I-I-”
“Words, Fairy. Use them,” Wilford whispered. Fairy closed his eyes and turned to try to calm his nerves, but he was pulled back to face him. “Eyes, Fairy.” Fairy did as he was told and hesitantly opened his eyes to find Wilford mere inches away from him. He couldn’t help but focus on his lips that formed a sly smirk. He’s just fucking with you again. Don’t let him get that satisfaction. With that in mind, Fairy pushed Wilford away with a pout and his arms crossed. The other clone was obviously distraught that his advancements were turned away.
“I was just going to say that you didn’t tell me that I couldn’t leave with him. You just said not to let him leave, and I didn’t.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you were a smartass. Fine, I guess I’ll have to be more explicit from now on.” Wilford looked almost, relieved? No, that couldn’t be it. Could it? He swiftly turned around with his hands behind his head. He started to walk off before he suddenly stopped. “Oh, and one more thing.” He paused before saying, “stay away from Punk. He’s a bad influence.” Was that, jealousy in his voice?
“But I-”
“No buts, dear. You either listen to me or him. It’s your choice. I know you’ll choose the right one.” With a wave of his hand he turned out of the hall leaving Fairy in bewilderment. What just happened?
