When Forest Monsters Meet

Enormous trees guided her through this unfamiliar forest. Despite their size, they reminded her of some forests back at home, when she explored the vast landscapes with her mentor. However, with leaves and vines greener than she’d ever seen before, she couldn’t help this uneasiness eating her from head to toe. A presence was always felt from the trees, but she could see none, especially with this wooden mask.

Little by little, this uneasiness started to scream at her, telling her to leave, although it felt like she’s been walking for hours on end.

Was it a scream, or was it a... horn?

What’s your take on AUs?

Love’em. Sure I can’t keep track of every single one of them, but I enjoy little side stories and what-ifs. 

Do you ever read rp threads you aren’t involved in? What type of thread does it usually have to be to interest you?

Of course! Whether it was a thread of a mutual follow or sometimes even those I don’t follow, I catch threads. It never fails, I always catch a thread at its silliest. Even when the thread is angst and painful plot I find one silly sentence and start laughing! I’m terrible, I know. So yes angsty or silly threads ^^

Do you like to plot or improv?

Here is where it gets somewhere. I like both, however, I prefer improv. When plotting, I get stuck thinking about the set up and neat what ifs to add to the scenario. I get caught up in it and lose my inspiration. Most of that comes from my improv. Being thrown into a new scenario with another rp partner helps big time.

(It's a beautiful evening, made even more so by the view of the ocean before you. The reflection of the moons, the tranquil waters, the quiet beach... you've always really liked beautiful settings like this. Most trolls wouldn't get to enjoy an atmosphere like this, but this beach belongs to your new friend, whom you're meeting here. You're kind of excited, to be honest.) (You're not sure what's going to come first -- you giving him pointers on strife, or him getting you started on swimming. He didn't seem able to find a new strife specibus, so you've brought one that he should be able to use. As for you, you managed to get your hands on a swimsuit -- you were lucky enough to make a new friend who could get you one custom-made. You were going to wear it under your normal clothes, but that was uncomfortable as hell, so you just captchalogued it. There seem to be enough trees around here that if need be, you can get changed without... well, without being PUBLIC about it. Whatever, you've got a suit, so you can swim. Or try to, anyway.) (You're a bit early, but there's nothing left but to wait for Solson to arrive.)

((Note: If you are tagged in this, that means that one or more of your characters has greatly affected the plot development of mine, which I thank you for! The cumulative experiences he’s had this past week has permanently altered how he’s going to react in some situations now))

Your name is SHALEZ ALABAS, and unbeknownst to you, you’ve had had a bit of a paradigm shift due to CURRENT EVENTS that have merged with the MEMORY OF YOUR WIGGLERHOOD.

Short Version:

Evident Personality Changes/Modifications:

Shalez is less likely to be terrified by those higher in the spectrum, and more likely to be respectful and appeasing, wanting his existence to be validated by making them content. He is still more uncomfortable of anyone higher than indigo, but y far less likely to try to flee or start panicking. He's also more likely to do whatever they tell you to do because of newfound impulses to please them and be worth something.

Shalez has gained the bad habit of being paler around those that seem sad around him, potentially seeming to be committing pale infidelity. He just wants everyone to be happy is the problem, which is not really something trolls normally should do but he strives for it blindly anyway.

Shalez is still somewhat addicted to sugar, but his palette is not as narrow as it was before. He’ll actually eat meat now, and things that are not coated in sugar. Although he still relies heavily on sugar emotionally.

Shalez is afraid of robotics where he once was just confused by them, considering them some sort of magic. His main fear is of synthetic limbs, their strength, and what weapons they could be concealing. He is more nervous around trolls with body modifications that are visible, and less likely to get in close contact with them unless they persuade him that that it is safe.

Shalez suffers from more daymares, fraying his emotional well-being, and making him more likely to snap or meltdown. He'll try to hide it as best as he can, but it will be somewhat easier to causs him to go into a fit if it has anything to do with defending his friends or quadrantmates. He's less likely to snap at those high in caste, but instead break down emotionally.

Shalez recognizes Aestus Rabiem as a surrogate lusus, and is very loyal to indigo guardian.

Shalez still despises slavery, but s is more likely to bite his tongue and not express it around those higher in caste

Stat Changes:

Social Skills have increased from more troll interaction

Strength has increased from more protein being consumed

Agility has increased from a more nutritious diet

Stamina has increased from a more nutritious diet

Willpower has decreased on any rolls having to do with quadrants or friends

Ability: Searing Touch is now level 2

Ability: Eternal Scream is now level 3

Ability: Mental Reach is now level 2

Story Mode:

These events may have just happened recently, but in your concept of time and space, they happened when you were still only three sweeps old. You remember getting lost from your lusus for a while, having to sleep in some bushes during the day, and meeting other trolls, which your Den Momma had warned you not to do. Instead of being outright culled, you were lucky to be found by some of Alternia’s kindest trolls, or at least, they had shown mercy to the likes of you. You were fed, talked to, and coddled by a few trolls, changing your perceptions quite a bit! You also met some of Alternia’s more frightening individuals, who also left a grim reminder in your memories.

Due to the kindness of some individuals, some of your concepts of your worth in the hemocaste system have changed! You know you are a mutant, you know that you are an abomination to everything the hemocaste stands for, but you also know that you aren’t a monster, and you can be worth the love you are given. You cannot change what you are, but you can try to be the best troll you can, and to behave as you should. Due to the fact that you were treated kindly by those higher in the hemospectrum, fed treats, and given affection, your fears of those higher in caste have been diminished significantly. You do not fear all of those higher than yellow on the spectrum anymore, although you are still wary of strangers, as you should be. You are far more hemoloyal than you were previously, even if you still think the caste system has its flaws and holes. When approached or find someone higher up in caste, you are respectful, minding your own place in the caste system like a good troll and knowing that they are worth more than you, and that you should be thankful for their time. You are still nervous and intimidated of those higher than indigo in the spectrum, causing you to potentially stammer, or shrink in their presence. You feel safer around female highbloods than male ones, seeing as that they were the majority of the ones that showed you kindness.

You try your best to be worthy of the kindness you are given, and one of the things you focus on most is how to make others around you happy. That is what is most important to you.

Your original self would have been intimidated by highbloods, untrusting, and very afraid, waiting for you to get out of the situation to vent your contempt of those higher in caste, and the injustices of the system and how it has wronged so many. Since you have been given more positive experiences of highblood interactions, that trust has been somewhat mended.

Not all of your experiences were grand though. You were hurt and hit by a few of those higher in the spectrum, including an indigo with a robotic arm, a cruel seadweller with a sharp toothy grimace, and another angry male seadweller who snapped at you. You were called a “mutant” and “digusting” by some of these individuals, and on top of that faced bodily harm. You now suffer daymares almost constantly, most of them revolving around being grabbed by the neck, with a sharp object pointed at your mutant eyes. You have daymares with angry male seadwellers, stomping you to the floor and telling you how despicable you are, how worthless you are, and how you’ll never be more than that. Because of these daymares, you are far more phobic of males higher in the spectrum, and afraid of robotics. You are nervous around trolls that have robotic limbs, or machinery, afraid that there are concealed weapons or things that could harm you. You are also more likely to stammer and cringe if those higher in caste move too quickly around you, making you yelp and backpedal.

You remember these experiences, and those of your Flarp friend who betrayed your trust, beating you and drilling into you how worthless you are, how mutant you are. Because of these combined barrages on your mental state, you constantly feel the need for your existence to be validated, especially by highbloods.
