I must ask, was there any progress on finding a solution?

Sadly nothing since Sliver of Straw's death. I turned most of my computations towards other goals when those rumors of an iterator with a case of the rot spread around the planet. I still run simulations in the background of course but so far they've produced nothing of interest.
