Pictures (by the Associazione Grupporiani) of the 2023 production of the Blue Monster (Il mostro turchino), by the marionette company Carlo Colla & Figli, based on the fairy tale play of Carlo Gozzi. This production features Harlequin in place of Truffaldino. It is based on the oldest script in the Colla archives, written by puppeteer Giuseppe Fiando in 1815, but never produced before the 21st century.

Oh, the irony.
"I think that it's much more dramatic that two men could be working out their feelings of anger, much more dramatic than showing something of gun fire." - Mr. Rogers
Did we get a heartfelt ending? What do we do with the mad that we feel, Duffers?
What a bizarre choice to reference the man who championed mental health treatment for children and open communication for settling conflict, while promoting death and repression as the only two solutions.
They promoted a heart-felt ending over and over in promo then gave us a super smash brawl. It's suspicious man. Referencing Mr. Rogers opens a thematic loose end full of self-aware contradictions.
In the documentary, the one thing they kept pointing out over and over again was how ridiculous it was for Mike to use a gun.
Also, what the hell did Amy mean by Jamie playing, "five separate characters"? I only counted four: Henry, Vecna, One, and Mr. Whatsit. There's a fifth? 🤨 Did she mean Mecha-Vecna 2.0? Then she started talking about Henry dressing up like Papa too with In Style.
If they're trying to argue against Mr. Rogers, that's a losing battle.
your puppet homework for today is jan švankmajer's jabberwocky. watch it and tell this one something you enjoyed about it.
