Message to anyone looking to make a "2000's edutainment" themed horror game

Do yourself a solid and do your research. Its so easy and genuinely fun to go back and play old crappy games. If you need somewhere to start looking, check out Myabandonware (an archive of retro computer games from 1978 to 2012, which are free to download and take up like zero space on your computer) or Flashpoint (another free to download mega archive of almost every game that was lost to time after flash died off.) having a partner with a special interest in something that you don't already is so beautiful and for lack of a better word Special because it also becomes your special interest by extension. You think of them every time you see the subject of their interests - An old train, a particularly shiny rock, a wild mushroom - and you can't help but smile.

You take pictures of these things, you put them in your pockets, you hoard them to show your partner so you can hear their wonderful voice prattle on endlessly about their passions. Their knowledge sticks with you. You find yourself thinking stuff like "This is a snowflake obsidian with a maybe Potassium inclusion. My partner told me this one"

Faeddsworld is on an Indefinite Hiatus. me n the mods love this lil project of ours to death and would love to see the story to the end someday (weve got so much lore.) but, as many a folk with ADHD tends to do, we got too big for our britches and burnt ourselves out. Myself especially, as I was the main artist of the team. Additionally, most of us have moved on from our eddsworld hyperfixation and we just no longer have that passion that once drove us. We'll definitely try to return someday - maybe once we have another artist under our belt, or once our hectic adult lives give us some breathing room - but for now, the silly faeguys are having a little hibrenation. Hope you'll stick around for when it returns, in like, 2057. lol.
