This was one of the best days of my life ❤️
Some of my favourites from Purcon’s ‘Cocktails with Castiel’.
Seriously. The look in that last shot combined with that shirt has me feeling .........f e e l i n g s.

My Misha autograph experience at Purcon!
Almost exactly a year ago, two of my Gishwhes teammates and I made this video for a contest Misha had initiated. We won! Grand prize: a signed sock. I asked if I could maybe get two signed socks, so I could give them to both teammates. Misha, angel as he is, signed two socks, resulting in two very happy people.
I told my teammates I would get my own signed sock at Purgatory Con in Germany next year. Reading the rules and regulations, I wasn’t sure if I could just bring a sock to the autograph session. Fan art, however, was allowed. So I drew Misha holding the sock, surrounded by all the Gishwhes mascots (and the queen of England because she never misses an opportunity to be in a portrait with Misha).
Finally it was time for PurCon 2016. As I nervously stood at his table he took his time picking the right color pen. After he signed, he paused again to look at my drawing and said: “This is very beautiful by the way.” Then he looked up with his bright blue eyes and said: “As is your hair.” I’m not sure what I said next because my inner fangirl was about to faint, but I think I thanked him and said something like: “I worked very hard for it.” And he said: “Well, it payed off.”
There were a lot of people standing in line so there wasn’t time to thank him for Gishwhes.
So: one in a million chance that you will ever read this Misha, but: THANK YOU for Gishwhes. In 2014 I had lost my job and I felt like the biggest loser. The very last night of my first Gishwhes experience in 2014, I was working on the ‘Croatoan pop-up book for children’ and got back my passion for drawing. I have been drawing ever since. And even though I’m not nearly as good as I want to be, it gave me something I’m very passionate about. It even gave me the self-confidence to change my career. So thank you. You’ve changed my life.
