Honestly, it's hard just being a fan of black veil brides, or rock bands in general.
I have a different range of friends but when I wear some merch, many won't stick around me cause I'm suddenly too weird
"You listen to that music? I thought black girls would like 'twerk music'"
I like every genre...(except whatever the fuck 'twerk music' is supposed to be..and pop)
I'm not one of those people who had the struggle and was saved, but since I listen to them, people assume so.
"Oooh, so are you depressed/suicidal, do you cut yourself...etc"
Nope, but when I see where my generation is headed, I get a little depressed..how could the music I listen to give you that assumption though?
The same comments over and over, "omg why do they look like girls" or "eww look at those fuckin fags" and the most annoying from the 'metal' heads "they're not even real metal" (no shit, more like who gives a shit? can they just be music??? it's music regardless what genre we put it under)
Whatever, I will continue to walk around with my headphones in, listening to the music I listen to, wearing the shirts and bracelets to rep. them, and remember how your opinion won't stop the production of their music, nor will it keep me from listening to it.
