I'm reading this book for an exam and it's the worst thing I ever read since I was 12. Ableist, pro abusive relationships and homophobic.

I want to throw up on the pages and then die.

And I'm talking about a book that was published in 2017.

Since we’re talking about Kai and Makiko tonight though here’s another thing from the stream that we had a lil talk about. Kai not being on any of the group photos with the family, because he’s always the one taking the photo and saying “Oh, it’s fine. I’ll be on the next one.” And he never is, he doesn’t really think he matters that much so he just makes sure everyone else he loves is on them. Makiko ends up realising when she looks through all the photos that Kai is conspicuously absent. So she starts straight up forcing him in on the pictures and even ends up sneaking up on him to take candids and some good shots of her and him. Imagine Kaneda being all like “We don’t want people thinking I’m the Dad she got her dress sense from now do we? Hell no am I taking the blame for that shit.” (Kaneda’s unique way of saying don’t you dare try to think you’re not a part of this family)
