来月ドラムのJoeyがアメリカに帰ってしまうので彼がいるVelvet Antsのライブはこれで最後です。

一応後任は決まっているのですが、どうなるのかもわからないので是非観に来てください。

昨年11月にリリースされたGamelを引っさげてのツアーも記憶に新しいOOIOOが 再び名古屋へやってきます! そのGamelがアメリカのレーベルThrill Jockeyからこの7月に リリースされ、それに合わせてアメリカ・カナダツアーを敢行。ガムランを加えた バンドのアンサンブルはツアーを経て、さらに強力になっているはず。 今回も前回と同様、1時間を超えるロングセットを予定。 そのThrill JockeyからはCDとLPでリリースされます。日本盤とはジャケットのデザイン が異なるだけでなく、LPは2枚組ゲートフォールドの豪華仕様。 YOSHIMIO (BOREDOMS) を中心に、1995年より活動。 以来、ひとつの種族のごとく土着し、完全に独自の進化を続けてきたOOIOOは、2012年より新たな古の魂＝ガムランを呑み込んで、 伝統と未来をワンステップで行き来するスーパー・トライブへと変異。距離も時間も光も影も、空気も色も地球も宇宙も。全部を縦横無尽に織り込んで、強烈な色彩感を伴った音のタペストリーを織り上げる。どこにもない民族OOIOO音楽の嗅いだ事のあるにおいは、聴くひとのイメージの力をもって、耳に映されて流れだす。 Originally started by YOSHIMIO (BOREDOMS) in 1995.
