the security around the Institute was admirable. she’d heard lots of stories, but it’s been a long, long time since she had any reason to see the inside of one. it’s one of the few places in this world that’s nearly as unchanging as she is. or at least, parts of it are. some parts of it seem newer than others. she’s not sure why she’s focusing so much on it, but there’s a part of her that finds COMFORT in the parts that are almost as old as she is.

mulan was tempted to roll her eyes as the man before them once more tried to step in the way two HUNTRESS as they tried to escape the dance floor. in truth, EITHER one of him could have taken him out within a moments breath, with moves so sudden, she doubted he would be able to register it until well after they had passed. yet like always, she had a STRONG feeling that her friend was about to play a 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐇𝐈𝐌 one that would leave him either broken hearted, or in pieces. part of her, wanted nothing to do with this, knowing that these games sometimes grew old, CONSIDERING she found it easier to simply throw a punch and be done.
