Hey there! How are you doing? c: Would you be willing to write some jeanmarco fluff if I asked you to? You're totally free to say no!!
Ello, I’m doing fine friend! And I would love to ^_^ by the way I’m basing this canyon off the grand canyon of pa because that’s the only grand canyon i’ve been to and I’ve camped there before so um yeah
———————————————————————————————————————————————
"How much longer?" Jean groaned, wanting nothing more to remove himself from the car because his butt had fallen asleep before he got to.
"We’re almost to the campsite, Jean, be patient," Marco chuckled from beside him, pulling down another road.
***
Sooner than later, Marco was pulling into a close parking lot near the campsite and they were lugging their camp stuff towards their spot. Once they had it all brought to their spot, Marco announced, “Alright, I’m gonna go ‘sign in’ alright? You think you can get the tent set up while I’m gone?”
"Easy," Jean laughed confidently, to which Marco rolled his eyes and walked away. Jean then turned to the tent, his smirk falling from his lips as soon as he saw all the polls. He coughed lightly and mumbled to himself, "I got this."
***
He didn’t have it at all. Marco was nearly rolling in the grass when he came back and found Jean wrapped up in the tent, trying to make the polls bend to his will. He growled out to his boyfriend, “Like you could do much better.”
"I told you before that I used to go on camping trips all the time when I was younger," he giggled, lifting himself from the ground. "What makes you think I don’t know how to put up a tent?"
He pulled Jean from his tangled mess and then meticulously started putting the tent together. Jean watched him, irritated at first, but then in amazement as his boyfriend put it up with a practiced hand. When Marco finished his work, he turned to Jean and grinned like a kid in a candy store and Jean groaned, “Don’t get a big head.”
"This coming from Mr. Big-Head himself," Marco giggled and laughed louder as Jean tackled him to the ground, his fingers moving up and down his sides to tickle him. He couldn’t control himself as he squirmed underneath him, laughing loudly as his fingers brushed over him. Before he knew it, his laughing died down and Jean’s fingers were moving slowly, sensually over his sides and up and down his arms. He felt Jean’s lips move to his neck, pressing soft kiss there until moving up to his lips. Marco smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around him instinctively.
Jean felt Marco tug at his shirt, making him pull away with a grin plastered on his face, “We could test out that tent of yours, make sure it’ll stay up.”
"As much as I’d love to," Marco giggled, "you promised me we’d go hiking. And a campfire."
Jean sighed dramatically before hesitantly adding, “…Yeah, you did promise me you’d make me that mac and cheese stuff.”
"Later, I promise."
***
Much time later, when the stars hung in the sky and the fire was the only light source they had other than the light they had for their tent, they were sitting next to each other, munching down on campfire hot dogs and mac and cheese that Marco made over the fire.
Jean slowly stopped his munching momentarily to smack another spot on his body, hissing out, “Alright, alright! I give in, please let me borrow some of your bug spray.”
"If only you would’ve taken it from the beginning, then you would have less bug bites tonight."
"The bugs just can’t resist me," Jean grinned right before smacking another spot on his arm. He groaned, "How…how did you do this all the time?"
"Bug bites?"
"No, camping."
"See, I knew you wouldn’t have fun," Marco sighed, staring at the fire sadly. Jean felt a twinge of guilt arise in him. He had been raise in a big city and very rarely did he go on camping trips. He had been so hesitant on going in the first place and even told Marco that, but Marco seemed so excited to go on another camping trip since he hadn’t been on one in years because college and work got in the way and his parents and siblings were always so busy. Jean eventually broke down, saying he’d go anywhere he’d like to camp.
When Marco suggested going to the Grand Canyon of Trost, he hadn’t been exactly thrilled. However, he wanted to make Marco happy. That was his goal.
"I’m having lots of fun," which that wasn’t exactly a lie. He had had fun hiking, surprisingly, but he did start complaining a little on the way back up the canyon. He also liked having all this alone time and quiet time with Marco. He didn’t particularly like the bugs and wasn’t too fond of the darkness that he knew held bears, but he was willing to put up with them for Marco.
"Right," Marco replied, unconvinced as he tossed his stuff paper plate into the fire, getting up from his chair.
"Hey," Jean jumped up right after him, "I am having fun.”
"You don’t have to lie, Jean, I don’t mind. I had a feeling camping wasn’t your thing."
"But it’s your thing and even if I’m new to it and may not extremely like it,” Marco sent him a suspicious glare, “I’m still willing to do it because you like it. You’ve been all mopey because you haven’t gone a camping trip in a while with your family, so I wanted to do this for you. You put up with me on a daily basis, I thought it was the least I could do.”
"Um, Jean, that’s really sweet and all but, uh," Marco stuttered, moving backwards cautiously, Jean still saying some stuff he wasn’t listening to. "Jean there’s a bear behind you."
Marco was moving slowly, to get away from there bear so it could eat Jean’s food nicely and go away. Jean, however, stopped mid sentence, squeaked, and hightailed it towards their car. Marco, unwillingly, had to run after his boyfriend all the while giggling to himself. He nearly lost it when he found Jean curled up in the backseat of his car asking him if the bear was gone.
Hi there! How was your day? :) I can't search in the tags right now, but I was wondering if maybe you knew any fics where R gets laughed at by Les Amis and he gets really hurt and runs away and they become remorseful????? If you don't, it's no big deal! Thanks for giving me some of your time and also for this blog because it must be pretty hard to search fics all the time and you're so kind and aaaaaaaaah thank you so much for all your hard work!
Hello dear! I had a good day today and I hope you did oo! :D
Oh gosh, I don't think I've seen one? It's not a very in-character thing to do for the Amis (who are generally depicted as supportive) and wow even the thought of it hurts like crazy.
You could probably try the Regret and Guilt tag, though. It's mostly Enjolras and/or Grantaire doing something that hurts the other person and making it up to them, but it might help?
If anyone else as seen something, please let us know!
