The Purple Crayon

It was always right that he was associated with this. Because he wrote in everything he did. He wrote on peoples hearts. Marked their souls. Transcribed stories out of thin air with his friendship. He was beautiful and he left us too early. We all wanted more. NEEDED IT. wanted to experience more of his air, his life...his soul.  I guess for me I always thought we would become even closer than we were. That we were always destined for more. I knew it had to be true when he pulled me aside that day and didn’t mock me for being afraid of that roller coaster. He just sat with me. And you know what was even greater than the fact that he loved so deeply? He let himself be loved back. He was not afraid. No matter what happened, no matter what anyone says that day we loved each other unconditionally with no questions. and because of that we would always have each others hearts.
