Another year at Purple Stride ATL, a 5k walk/run to raise money and awareness for ending pancreatic cancer! 🎉Thank you so much to everyone who donated. 💜
As some of you may remember, my mom passed away from pancreatic cancer in January of 2016.
Even though this cancer comes just behind breast cancer in deaths and is expected to surpass it by 2020, it doesn’t get nearly as much awareness efforts or research dollars. There is no early detection method and most people don’t know they have this deadly cancer until it’s too late.
This year, I’m again participating in PurpleStride Atlanta, 5k walk/run to help raise money for pancreatic cancer. This money funds more research and resources for patients with this cancer.
