Good Morning!☀
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth into those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
One of the things that hinders so many from progressing in their lives is the tendency to hang onto the past. They carry the hurts and wounds of childhood into adulthood. Some carry them all their lives. This extra burden often causes problems in their relationships with others.
Past hurts and wounds are not the only things we hold onto that cause us problems. Past successes and victories can also hinder our progress. We cannot move to the next success if we are holding on to the last one. Sometimes it is a matter of giving up the good for the greater.
We need then to be willing to let go of the past. All of it, good and bad, victories and defeats, joys and sorrows. Let's forge ahead, striving to fulfill God's purpose for us.
