“Kozume-san!” he called out, running over to the boy slouched over his generic portable gaming device. He’d come up to Nekoma with the rest of the team for anothe series of away games, but they still had a few hours before the games actually started, as they planned to get there early to socialize. “How’ve you been? We actually managed to beat Shiratorizawa!”

“Heh-?? You’re gonna romance a character-?? Which one is your type then- ?? Show me before we get to practice, so I know who to help hook you up with some day. Like the wonderful best friend I am.”

Akaashi had waited for the release of a particular horror movie he liked in DVD. And when it was reported that it was finally in shelves in different stores nationwide, he went to one of the stores he frequented in that sold CDs, DVDs, and even games.
And while scanning through shelves, his eyes noticed a familiar head standing in the gaming aisle. “Didn’t expect bumping into you here, Kozume-san,” Akaashi stated as he stood next to Kenma while still maintaining a respectful distance.

Volleyball competitions were the worst, especially when they had to travel far. Kenma honestly had no idea how they ended up playing against Dateko, mostly because he usually didn’t listen. He feels rather uncomfortable now that the captain of said team has gotten into the same elevator that Kenma had, so he tried to avoid eye contact at all cost, staring at his shoes, until–
The elevator finally comes to a stop, but it’s too abrupt, Kenma thought. Slowly, he taps the button that’s supposed to open the doors; once, twice, thrice… then faster, pushing his brows together until they formed a frown. His shoulder tightened, his jaw clenched and his bottom lip started to tremble as soon as he realized that for a while, he wasn’t going anywhere.
Still, Kenma doesn’t even look at Kenji. Instead, he still can’t give up on pressing this button repeatedly, obviously starting to panic.
Kenji had noticed the small setter ignoring him, which is why he’d chosen to watch the back of Kenma’s head for the duration of the journey - what little journey it ended up being, that is.
This wasn’t his first time stuck in an elevator, and he was certain it wouldn’t be his last, and while each time only got more and more annoying, he knew how this usually went and was able to keep his cool. He crossed his arms over his chest, matching the leg that he’d lazily slung over his other.
“ Have you tried the help button yet ? Might be useful. ”

Kenma absolutely hated being in the hospital – especially when it was unnecessary like this time.
During their practice, one of Lev’s (successful) spikes hit Kenma’s head and apparently knocked him out for a while. When Kenma woke up again, he was already here, with the whole team surrounding him, asking several question that he couldn’t answer since he was still feel dizzy. While the setter was sure that he was able to go back home, the doctors said that they wanted to keep him here for one night.
With the Nekoma team gone, Kenma felt… a little uncomfortable. There was someone else in the room as well, and seeing as he wasn’t the most talkative guy, he tried to just stay quiet and not to draw the attention to him.
Aomine had been here since noon and he couldn’t say that he liked it. During a practice game he collided with another player and then had a harsh meeting with the ground. The result were a concussion and a sprained shoulder. To be honest, Daiki had been beyond annoyed that he ended up in a hospital - but the pain had put him in such a delirium, that he barely noticed anything.
It was better now - they had given him something against the pain. There was still a slight buzz in his head and his shoulder was okay as long as he didn’t move his arm. Satsuki had been here for a while, but a few hours ago she left. Great, he couldn’t even use his phone.
His neighbour in the next bed didn’t really lighten his mood- simply because of the brigade of dudes that had been around. The more grateful he was as they finally left. However, there still was this boredom that annoyed him the most of all. Aomine Daiki loved to skip practice, but right now he wouldn’t love anything more than that.
His eyes trailed over to the other boy. If he was damned to stay here, he also might as well try to make conversation. “So...and Why are you here?” He asked then, out of curiousity.

Kenji frowns when he receives the response.

Despite such FOCUSED attention on volleyball, the brunet knows when to take a break [ or else his BEST FRIEND would come after him ]. He figures it’d be fine since this guy looks like an underclassman which means no need to be embarrassed to start a conversation.
