A recent, vintage-belt-into-purse-straps, conversion I got to do for an old pal! These belonged to @auntd46 ‘s folks, and I was happy to switch them over & clean them up! Thank you DeAnna for letting me work on these! . We did a complete cleaning, conditioning, & sealing. Leather cemented & reenforced some tears, completely removed torn out thread, & hand stitched the second belt. I made some waxed hand-sewing thread out of some beeswax & white linen thread that matched the original thread almost exactly! Fun! Reburnished & sealed the edges. Added new snaps & hardware. .
