"Are we even adults, muchless stoic heroes?" Wally side glanced at Dick from his place under their blanket fort.
"If you're sure," he answered. He wasn't going to press if Wally didn't want to talk about it. When Wally held his arms out, Dick smiled and stepped forward, pulling him into a hug.
"I’m as sure as you normally are about this stuff," he said calmly despite his defensive words. Wally was a bit upset but he usually didn’t lash out like this.
"You take such joy in pretending you're okay."
"And you’re the one to talk," Wally shot back maybe too quickly. "Sorry," he made an attempt to backpetal and looked away from Dick.
Receiving the text back, Sam grinned. He was driving and didn’t feel like sending a text back, simply heading towards the tower. In the front seat of his car there was two six-packs of Barton’s favorite beer and a bag full of snacks.
Clint was glad that Sam didn’t try to text again. When he made it back, he spotted Sam’s car in front of the building and smiled to himself. He didn’t actually like to drink much, but one or two beers wouldn’t hurt. A large part of it was just not wanting to get drunk, and he’d be sure to avoid that.
Sam already has two beers pulled out. He doesn't normally drink more than one when hanging out and he knows that Clint doesn't ever drink of the sake of getting drunk. "Hey," He greeted the other with a grin and a pat on the back. Wilson enjoys Clint's company. "Caw Caw, motharfucka."
Talon was only a few seconds behind, climbing up onto the roof and moving to stand next to him. "You're not nervous, are you?" he questioned.
Nighthawk fidgeted, pursing his lips for a moment before shaking his head, rubbing his gloved hands together as he turned his head to look at Talon, “…No. I’m just worried Bats or one of my brothers will pop in.” he looked away, starting forward again towards the door on the roof, “I don’t want you guys to fight.”
"Don’t lie to me."
"But I do! I hate you!" though, really, Lance didn’t hate the other at all, he was just upset and distraught in general, spiraling, "You probably just use me or something..!"
"Don’t look at me like that."
"I coulda swore you just giggled. Was that my imagination?”
