sudden realization: inko would be able to help izuku with his quirk/teach him how to use it (and maybe improve her own quirk while doing so?!) in the push and pull au
Cassyette’s heart takes a battering on her debut single ‘Push N Pull,’ giving sultry 00s-era RnB a shiny, magnetic Scandi pop twist as the British singer/producer tells an all-too familiar tale of love gone wrong (’I never wanted to adore/I should’ve left you on the line...‘).
Having long been a fixture on the London club scene as well as earning her DJ stripes in Spain and Ibiza, Cassyette’s truly got the Midas touch when it comes to delivering a certified pop banger...

@vampshouta ok, here’s some more stuff about it:
the quirk doesn’t manifest when it’s supposed to (4 years old), but much, much later
when it manifests, it’s as weak as any other freshly manifested quirk is, so izuku has to work really hard to get it up to par and “catch up” with his peers
the range and weight limit of the quirk can both be trained and therefore improved, but the further/heavier it becomes, the slower it continues to grow (which makes sense imo)
he has lil plus and minus signs on his palms... the red plus is on his right hand, and the blue minus is on his left hand (for “plus distance” and “minus distance” aka “push and pull”)
that being said, his palms aren’t the “center of gravity” aka where the objects are either being pushed away from or pulled toward; that point is actually dead center on his chest
and with THAT being said, maybe you’ve figured it out already or maybe you haven’t, but he has to be careful when using the pull half of this quirk, ESPECIALLY when he’s moving really heavy/large things, because if he isn’t, whatever he’s pulling will careen right into him
Also when ur friend says he supports u in hoeing it up but attaches himself to u like a koala: 🧐🤟
Izuku with a mutated version of his moms quirk???? Do tell please???
sure!
it’s called “push and pull,” a telekinetic quirk. the “pull” part obviously comes from inko, but the “push” part is the pseudo-mutation, and i say it’s a pseudo-mutation because it kind of comes from his dad’s quirk (fire breathing) if you… reach
like, fire breathing is the expulsion of flames via the throat. key word: expulsion
…anyway
i designed this quirk with the express purpose of paralleling shouto’s; it’s split down the middle, with izuku’s right side controlling the push, and the left side controlling the pull. because of this split, he needs to move like a water bender to use it to its full effect! he also can’t use both sides at once… at least not at first
(these pictures were drawn by my friend alex @gaydabi!!! the bakugo is irrelevant so you can ignore him lmfao)
whenever he uses the quirk, his eyes change color: red for push, blue for pull. and whenever he uses both at once… the heterochromia effect happens! his eyes are still green normally though.
what happens when he uses both halves at once? well, whatever he’s using it on kind of just… freezes in place. it takes a LOT of focus for him to pull this off, and the first time he does it is actually an accident/instinct reaction (e.g. something is thrown at him and he throws his hands up and activates the quirk to stop the thing from hitting him), and it shocks him haha
the drawback of this quirk is dizziness/vertigo, but only if he overuses one side. again, it’s supposed to be like shouto’s quirk, so if he uses both sides an equal amount, he can avoid any serious consequences
this quirk is not flashy. in fact, the flashiest thing about it is the changing eye color side effect. but it is so fucking useful with just a little creativity. for example: he can push off the ground to get more height out of his jumps, pull against the ground in order to increase his grip on it and make himself harder to move, and etc.
the main difference between push and pull and shouto’s half hot, half cold is the fact that this quirk was not “bred” intentionally into izuku. it was completely accidental. nothing about his parents have changed in this au; hisashi is still out of the country being an absent father, and inko is still a stay-at-home mom who loves her son and worries herself to death over every little thing
basically, this au is just a specialized “what if” scenario, because i like tddk and thought it’d be fun! which it was. i really enjoyed creating this quirk, and there’s actually still more to it that i haven’t talked about because i don’t want this post to get too long haha. maybe someday…

I will still forever be in love with the idea of a fantasy nightmare, a fantasy too good to want to leave , too dangerous to be able to stay
