Pop Up Nail Bar - Juliet Sear Kawaii Cakes Book Launch @ Carousel London

Last night I braved the rain and headed over to Carousel London near Baker Street for the book launch of Juliet Sear’s new Kawaii Cakes book with thanks to @pushprlondon

Amongst a setting which felt much like being in a candy shop myself and NC Nails had the pleasure of bringing a little Kawaii Nail magic to all the guest! 

Here’s the menu I created for the event using Nails Inc Polishes + an assortment of stamps and freehand designs including NPW Gifts Rainbow & Unicorn Decals :

It was hard to resist snacking on sweets all night! Especially with cute signs like this from Other Letters luring us in from all directions!  

One of the most popular looks for the night was this little stamped Party Bear which I did for one of the lovely Other Letters ladies :

Use a dotting tool to apply bits of the confetti polish where you want it when using small designs like this! 

Colour Of The Night 

As well as the party bear look, this Nails inc colour was a hit - it’s called Soho Gardens and is just the most beautiful colour! So many guests had this applied that I felt it was worth sharing ! 

This is Soho Gardens on Nancy Maddocks of Pom De Pom who made a super cute little Unicorn Pom De Pom for us to wear on the night !

I often see familiar faces at press launches and this one was no exception! I ran into the lovely girls @ Sugar Tits London who were making cotton candy for the event :

Push PR - Space Odyssey Event

Last week I had the pleasure of working on Push PR’s annual Press Day.  I was excited to get asked to come back after creating last years Moroccan Bazaar inspired pop up nail bar. This years theme was even better ... Space Odyssey!

As well as gorgeous cocktails, calligraphy by Lamp Lighter London , ear piercing by Chaos Pigeon Piercing and tasty treats from  Juliet Sear + Millie Taylor , I was on hand providing space inspired nail art to the guests!

For the event I got to use a combination of my own MoYou nail polishes and polishes from new beauty brand 3ina who have just opened up shop in Covent Garden. The polishes are really affordable at £4.95 each but really great quality. 

To create my menu for the day I enlisted the help of uber cool brand MoYou London who create nail stamping plates with practically every design you can imagine. These are perfect for events where time is short but guests still fancy a little bit of nail art.

Iconic Makeup Artist Lan Nguan stopped by for some star embellishments : 

And Face Lace founder Phyliss Cohen also popped over for a simple but pretty spring manicure : 

As if all this wasn’t glam enough, we all got to play with SVP’s beautiful collection of rings! (Now I want them all) :

All in all this was a fantastic day. Sometimes work doesn’t feel like work. I’m grateful every day for the inspiring people I get to meet in the creative field! London is beautiful :)

Push PR AW15 Press Day

Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining the @pushprlondon team for their AW15 Press Day. I got to provide manicures for guests at the Moroccan Bazaar themed event which was an absolute blast. I was completely spoilt with this gorgeous set up area :

My “office for the day” was situated at the top of their showcase room with a spectacular view over London via Finsbury Park’s Arts Building. Watching the sun go over the horizon through the day and then seeing evening set in and all the twinkly night lights of London come on reminded me of why I love it here so much.

As well as having a great time painting nails for the event I met some fantastic people. When work doesn't feel like work you can’t complain!

Holy Moley

I am going for my interview tomorrow. I am bricking it. The more I have been researching their company the more I fall in love with it, and want the internship so bad. Wish me luck. I have planned my journey and outfit, I just need my brain to be prepared too!

Push PR

So I have an interview with them next Wednesday for a 3month internship! I am super nervous and super excited at the same time! I was reading the bio of the lady I have been emailing and she seems pretty cool, we've got quite similar tastes of clothes although she is far more cultured than I am. I am a bit worried though, because the interview is the day after my orthodontist appointment, but it's also the day OF Mckenna's drinks party, so if it goes terribly then I can just get really drunk and drown my sorrows there!
