Like, ok. The wordle is not a good puzzle. I’ve been thinking a lot about puzzles in that world, and of every “daily puzzle” game the wordle is kind of terrible. There’s no guarantees, perfect play would still have some unsolvable puzzles (on hard mode). It’s not even like crossword, crossword is sometimes unsolvable to people and is incredibly biased towards English speakers in English speaking countries. The flip side of that is that crosswords have a lot of room for artistic expression within them, sort of like poems. The wordle is generated algorithmically, there barely needs to be an author present. I think the best puzzles have both. There are a lot of incredible sudoku puzzles that are authored, and are 100% solvable. Baba is you is in the same vein, you have emergent behavior being catalogued by someone obsessed, showing you “hey! Look how these things interact!” And then you can kiss them on the mouth because that’s hot.
